I hailed a cab that rainy night in NYC headed for the airport and home. Pouring rain. Jumped in back of cab, "Howdy" said the hack driver. "Hello" I replied.
"Your as lucky as Jeff Heller to get a cab this time of night and in this weather".
"I guess so" I replied. "Continental at JFK please."
"Jeff Heller always flew Continental" replied the driver. "He sure knew all about the best." "Yeah, ole Jeff Heller he had the
most wonderful wardrobe, everything matched just perfectly.
"Sound interesting" was the only reply I could come up with.
"Oh Yeah, now Jeff he did everthing first class and without a hitch." "You should have seen his ties and shoes, just immaculate, and the colors matched pefectly."
"I'll be", I replied.
"Stayed in all the finest hotels, at the best price, all the managers of the great restaurants knew him by sight too"
"He could order the most esquisite meals at any restaurant, they were always perfect." "Never needed a reservation either."
"Well he must of been quite a guy. You know him a long time?''I asked.
"No Sir, never met the man. He died about eight years ago before I ever had the chance to know him."
Now my interest was piqued. "Well how do you know all these things about how wonderful he is and such? I asked.
"I married his widow seven years ago." He replied
