Default Homeless vet finds/returns ring

Great story I watched on Fox news this morning. A homeless Viet Nam vet found the HS football championship ring of a Columbine shooting survivor. The vet was offered $2,000 for the ring but refused, he wanted to return it to the original owner.
A fund has been set up, by the survivor, on Gofundme.com/championvet, with half going to the homeless man and half going to help other vets. In the past 3 hrs the fund went from $267 to well over $50,000.

God Bless America

I appreciate you sharing that story, ladder; I really do.

It helps some to offset a story in our local paper this week about a homeless vet who had been living in a storage unit for several months, and who died there. He had cancer pretty bad.

The way he set the unit up inside, it was hard to see him in there even when the door was rolled up. So folks that had looked for him there didn't see him, when relatives reported him missing. It was a few days later before the police went there, went inside, and found him.

So a nice "homeless vet" story is really appreciated. Thanks.

Wow! Just wow!

What a great person!

I'd be shocked if we see this story on the lame stream news.

That's very sad.
