Default Anybody want cookies and milk?

It's only a matter of time. Oreo is experimenting with new ideas. Maybe they can develop Sushi Oreos too.

P.S. Yes, I know it's a hoax...but how many people would try it?

Just pretend this is witty.

I would pass on the Chicken Oreos.

But I do remember Chicken in a Biskit. Those were good.

Someone did actually manufacture a soft drink several years ago that was supposed to taste like roast turkey--with gravy, as I recall.

I'm all for creativity, but that's just messed up.

I had a friend in Tulsa that made the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had, before or since. When she had them, she would use freshly cracked pecans...a half dozen of those cookies & a cold glass of milk was probably as close to Heaven as I'll ever get.

I especially like the oatmeal/raisin/cranberry cookies made by the delis in two grocers near me.

I don't drink milk, but the cookies go very well with tea or coffee. Tonight it was Twining's Irish Breakfast tea. But I'm very fond of their Ceylon Orange Pekoe blend and of several tea blends from Taylor's of Harrogate. Their English Breakfast blend is the best such that I've tried, and their Assam and Afternoon Darjeeling are favorites. I can't find their Ceylon tea locally, but think I'll order some. Their US office does sell by mail. So does Twining's. Check their sites. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality.

I've been drinking Tetley's British Blend some, too. It's the better of their two blends. It lacks some of the complexity and delicacy in finish of the other brands (both of which hold Royal Warrants of Appointment as suppliers of tea to H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and to her son and heir apparent, H.R.H. Charles, Prince of Wales)

Tetley's admits that their tea blends for the US market are not quite what they sell in the UK, but say that the British Blend comes closest. I suspect that they sacrifice some quality to get a very rapid-infusing tea. Americans are perceived as being impatient. But that British Blend is still very good tea, and I often drink it when I want to save money and am not especially in the mood for something else. I can buy a box of 80 bags for just $4.89. Good tea is still a relative bargain.

The Twining's teas average about $2.89-$3.29 for 20 bags. I forgot what I last paid for Taylor's in a 20-bag box, but it's similar. They also offer some blends in 50-bag boxes for about $7.50.

If you want to brew from loose leaves and be able to access their best teas, both firms also sell canisters of certain blends, and in the case of Taylor's, they'll sometimes tell you the particular estate in the growing region the tea is from. (Teas such as English Breakfast are blends from several growing regions, balanced for consistent flavor. Those labeled as Darjeeling, Ceylon, Assam, etc. are exclusively from the regions cited. The best blends in these cans may cost 4-5 times what a 20-bag box does. But there's also more tea in the cans.)

I hope that you have access to the superior cookies mentioned. In many cases, you'll have to bake them yourself. Nothing sold in a bag is anywhere near as good. You need access to a bakery that makes them on the premises.

I have not eaten Oreos since I was a kid.

For several years I worked security at a local NABISCO plant. They made several different types of cookies, with Oreo's being the big one, and the big money maker I was told.

They had a policy they told me about the first day. "You can eat all the cookies you want inside the plant. You just can't take any home with you." That is BRILLIANT. In a week, maybe less, they couldn't beat people with a stick and get them to eat a cookie.

And let me tell you boys and girls. You don't know what slippery is, until you step on a blob of Oreo cream, on a slick finished concrete floor. Man I did some dance moves that would have made Michael Jackson jealous that time.

I like cookies--just not Oreos.I used to love them but-I cant eat them anymore as they have more suger than my stomach can well---stomach.

At the last Carnival here--just a few weeks ago--they DID have Oreos that were breaded and caked in Habanero pepper dust.

Depending on when, where and what, any cookie can taste good or even great. Early '73 we were 100 miles off the coast of Calif. babysitting a disabled fishing boat, when the pilots decided we needed to refuel before it got dark. We headed over to the Navy base on St Nick island. As myself and the other crewman were fueling and doing the pre-flight on the helo one of our pilots went into the line shack and somehow rounded us up some box lunches. While headed back to the fishing boat we scarfed them down since it was way past dinner time. What I thought was a third sandwich, turned out to be a chocolate chip cookie as big as my hand and an inch thick. It was GOOD. You know it had to be for me to remember it 42 years later or at least for that place and time it was....

You wanna know what really is the bomb? get those cheapo Mexican cookies that look like Scrabble tiles with pink, white and yellow icing on them.I would get a bunch of them--crush them to crumbs and mix with milk. Man that stuff was insanely good. It was almost like eating cookie cereal.

Ditto on the GS cookies I rather support the scouts for the good they do. I give to the scouts and our vets.

I don't care if the cookies were $10 a box we're investing in Americas future. We need to help and support our youth. I buy 10 boxes of cookies and give them back so the scouts can enjoy them. I'm on a diet.

When I was a kid we had boy scouts, boys clubs, YMCA, CYO at the local church, what's left today?

In the old neighborhood I took all the kids riding who had dirt bikes. I even fixed there bikes. On boy thanked me and said his dad is passed out drunk in his chair. This kid is such a good kid too. These kids need our help and guidance. Parents need to get involved with there kids. Out of sight out of mind doesn't work today. These good kids can find trouble really easy. My dad was a no show I know how it feels. I had to do things for myself. I grew up quickly.
