Biginges' Challenge _whats a gauntlet?
I used to know but I forgot.
Reading another post with great deal of interest last evening.
I am throwing down a challenge to those of us that remember when Truman was President.
There are five of us in the , it has a name that has to do with the proliferation of goats, club. I am throwing down the challenge to those of you that are fortunate to still have five. We meet every Tuesday at 11. One of us seems to recall that total attendance was achieved 3 months back. Drs. appts., rehab, picking up grandkid, etc. seems to limit us to only partial attendance.
So here is the challenge:.
1. Total attendance must be achieved for your group. All five in my group.
2. IF you are able to walk down to the 100 yd berm, staple, your target, and return to firing line without stopping, send us a picture of your group (other members as witnesses) with successful target poster triumphantly holding staple gun in the air will get you to the finalist bracket. (You may be the only one).
3. Winner shall be determined by drawing when the ice floes at Labworms house thaw. Trophy is an entire box of six (6) Thomas English muffins prepared in Labworm fashion and sent to you in a plain brown wrapper.
A member of my group has done this but we forgot the camera. Chances of it happening again are somewhat slim. I promise, it is impossible to have any more fun than we do.

100 yds? Shame and forsooth. I drive the golf cart to the 50 yd. target. I am at home alone today so I can't post a picture of the cart and me at the 50 yd. target. Larry

A high fever can cause that kind of delirium. Call your doc, or mix another cocktail, one.

Surely you jest. I was here when Roosevlet was in office and I walk 3 miles on the beach every day.
Good looking babes in bikins will make lots possible, even at my age.

There was 4 of us.3 are gone, I'm still here. 100 yards? Out of the question. 2- 50 yard dashes to the bathroom is my limit.

I'm the only one left in my group. Do I count if I show up at the range and remember that I actually went?
Can I just fire at the berm? I'm pretty sure one or two shots will hit it.
I don't think the battery on my Rascal will last long enough for 200 yards of open terrain.
This gauntlet is getting too difficult. I think I'll just call the neighbor widow woman to come over, microwave a dinner for me, and cut my toenails.

There's a little berm at the 50 yard line and I say "Whew, just another 50 to go! I wish I didn't have turn around and come back."

The distance is not to bad, I think. The real problem is, I don't know five other guy's, my age, who I would trust with a loaded weapon.

You find me a way to get 10 or 12 liters of oxygen per minute into my lungs and your 100 yd. trip becomes no big deal. The best my regulator will do is 8. At that rate 25 out and back calls for a 3 to 5 minute break to get my O2 level back up.
I was around when FDR was but not for Teddy.
