Default What's the matter with Texas?

Nothing, that I know of, which is why I ask if anyone has heard of 'Jade Helm'.
Sorry to leave it at that but, it's best if you research it yourselves. Otherwise, I may be accused of being a wearer of the tin hat.
I know nothing more than what a friend forwarded to me today. Probably much to do about nothing.
I'm headed to the store now to get some more foil.

Essentially, yes. These types of exercises have been taking place for many years. I was involved in them in 1988 and 1989 in upstate New York.

The problem with conspiracy theories involving the Special Operations community regarding martial law is that the personnel in such units all self select. They volunteer, go through arduous training, etc. They are thus far more likely to be "super patriots", gun nuts, etc. than regular soldiers and generally hold conservative views. The home bases of a number of key US Army and USAF units, meaning that the families of the troops live in the community.

Stories of NATO troops poised to take over are more entertaining, the more so since most of the alliance fails to meet the spending goal for their own minimum defense.

Now what they might have worried about is ebola getting into Mexico and being able to lock down the SW to keep the disease from spreading...,

If this story is true then it's just a way to bring gun nuts out of the woodwork. The real story is every Country in the World has troops in secret locations in all major cities on permanent standby to counteract any insurrection and terrorism threats. They are secretly located in all sorts of mundane shops and offices. Been there seen it. Don't even go there.

When the grays activate those implants and a third of the population becomes zombie cannibals, you will be glad that MJ12 planned ahead...

I live near where some of this will happen. It's been discussed in the area news (broadcast and print) extensively. It's just a normal training exercise. Nothing sinister that I can see.

Texas has a large population of "Tea Baggers" and constitutionalists. We are dangerous. We are the enemy. That's why they picked Texas

I have a tattoo on my forehead, "Don't Tread on Me". Across my chest is "I'm the NRA".

I guess I'm one of the enemy.

AND PROUD OF IT

The military is sworn to uphold the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I don't think the military will turn on the populace as we are sworn to defend them.

War Games. The map listing Texas as "hostile" red while Arizona is listed as blue. This is a make-believe scenario. AZ has shown their colors. As to NM, we could swing either way; lots of free-loading democrats here.

guess we have time to stock up on M855 ammo. Think they'll ship to Texas since we're the enemy?

Remember the controversy over labeling Mexico a failed state? War games in the SW aren't a bad idea, but for political reasons it cannot be set up that Mexico is the enemy force...so Texas serves that role as a rather clever in joke.

Too many non-Texas living here who get the same right to vote as real Texans.

It is Big Spring Texas, not Big Springs. You'd think they would get it right.
