It is about time the world governments came clean about aliens. Clearly they prefer the USA as we have more aliens than the rest of the world all toll. So if we do have aliens from off planet this is certainly where they would try and hide, as we have so many aliens they would just blend in.

A good reason at that time would have been that the CIA was using the UFO thing to divert people from what was really going on in experimental aircraft.

The disclosure story was first hinted at as early as Project Sign. Some say Admiral Forrestal was in favor of it, and that this cost him his life. Circa the mid 1970s and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and then later ET it was again said to be just around the corner. One story is that it did not happy because the little gray guys turned out not to be so friendly after all and were taking thousands more humans for anal probings and what not then had been agreed to in the secret agreement signed by Eisenhower where upon the aliens got some cattle, to run a few experiments on humans and were supposed to turn over military technology.

Only the aliens double crossed us, took more humans than agreed and were miserly with their boomsticks.

You can see Buzz Aldrin mentioning a monolith ala 2001 that exists on one of the moons of Mars if you do even a cursory search. It was on CSPAN. You can also see videos of former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer saying aliens are real and made a deal (alluded to as above) with Uncle Sam. Which begs the troubling question of whether he is telling the truth or if a high level official in Canada was just ... crazy.

The one man who probably knows the most, who is alive today and knew the principals involved is former President Bush the Elder. If one believes the stories...that he had time to be a part of MJ12 even with his duties quarterbacking the JFK assassination, etc. Former head of the CIA, Vice President, President....

(Curiously enough, you can believe former President Clinton when he denies any knowledge. He supposedly spilled the then secret of the fossilized bacteria on the Mars meteorite to one of his mistresses, and thus was not trusted with anything more.)

If you poke around a bit, you also find out that people doing things our government likes to deny get checks from the Department of the Interior and not the DoD. But again, people look for their men in black in the wrong places.

About 25 years ago, a tabloid ran an article that an ancient alien spacecraft had crash landed inside the Grand Canyon. The article had a fuzzy pic of the site, and claimed the DOI that administers the inner canyon through the National Park Service was secretly analyzing the wreck, gleaning the alien technology for gov. use.

I was an NPS ranger who worked in the inner canyon not too long after that article came out. We rangers laughed about it a lot. Then I married a gal who was a fellow Grand Canyon ranger. It didn't dawn on me until years later that I had married one of the aliens. Trust me when I tell you that she is not of this world. Ooops! Must go now. I feel her probing my thoughts again.

The U S has used UFO's as a cover for secrets, IMO, forever. Better to let them (us) believe this lie tan to create another fabrication to cover our experiments---also, the rest of the world will not be so inquisitive about what is going on if they are distracted by another hoax.
If UFO's are around, they could have easily done anything they wanted to to us by now.

I sort of subscribe to the view of the late Lewis Grizzard, if they have been here, how come we"ve never found a UFO hubcap, and why haven't we seen one broke down on the side of the road with the hood up and 3 of then looking at the motor and one trying to catch a ride to town?
But, on a serious and pragmatic note, to reach earth from interstellar space would take many thousands of years of travel, any thing you hear or read about time warps or any other method of travel violates the laws of physics, and can't happen.
It is in the same vein as mining the moon or asteroids, how are you going to lift a million tons of mineng equipment to the moon? How is it going to operate in an atmosphere that has no oxygen for combustion, ( And, don't think batteries, remember, we still don't have an electric car with any significant duration yet) and, most important of all, how would we get the product back here to utilize it? Keep in mind that we've only brought back some 875 pounds of moon rocks so far, the astronauts and their re entry vehicles, and all at a cost of trillions of dollars.
It can't be done within any foreseeable time, and while I would like to see it take place,
It ain't gonna happen .

The topic of UFOs, like the yeti, Sasquatch, sea monsters and ghosts, tends to attract the trolls.

Regarding the UFOs, if you discount the "eyewitness" accounts of people missing half their teeth, and concentrate solely on the accounts involving the military, and airline pilots corroborated by ground radar and in some cases, physical evidence, these incidents are not easily explained away.

I think we're naive to believe we're alone in the universe. For whatever reason, governments don't want us to know what they may know until such time an an undeniable event occurs, like a UFO hovering 100 feet above Times Square.

Do the aliens from another galaxy qualify for in-state tuition rates? This is going too far!

There is no reliable software source for the stoy about Putin, there is not even a quasi reliable source such as RT. Rather it is an unfounded rumor that has been floating around for about two years. The prior rumor was that Putin threatened to reveal 9/11 Secrets, presumably that it was an inside job or false flag operation. Earlier rumors of that sort dated back to the Cold War, when it was said that the Soviets would reveal the moon landings were a hoax, etc.

The Grand Canyon Crash story was in the Weekly World News of Batboy fame. Yes, they made things up.

But...the DOI does a lot more than park rangers. One of the reasons they were issuing the checks for some folks in Iraq and Afghanistan and not the DoD had to do avoiding the possibility of, or at least presenting bureaucratic obstacles to, any possible extradition related to war crimes.

The physics are there and even partially understood as to how to get from point A to point B. Wormholes are one way, another is that we have no idea how long lived other species are. If you live a thousand or three years, a 40 year voyage is relatively short. And that is if we skip over the infinite number of alternate dimensions theory.

Your classic Loch Ness monster is likely where a gate of sorts open and something from somewhere or somewhen else wanders in from time to time. An explanation that would deal with most cryptids.

I am glad that this "knowledge" is being reviled, I just hope nothing more is revealed.

I've seen UFOs several times.
There was a squadron of MV-22 Ospreys that flew very near our house for a few years (haven't seen one in a while though). For a while we locals would watch them fly by and ask *What the **** is that?*
Not long after they first flew by they were identified....
