NYPD officer shot in the face--passed away.
Sorry I dont have more details yet but--the young officer who was shot in the face by a repeat creep--just died. 
Rest in Peace sir.

The last I heard was yesterday and that report said he was in serious but stable condition. I'm very sorry to learn that he died. Too bad all the focus has been on vilifying police officers lately. Other than firefighters, what other city employees are asked to risk their lives to do their jobs?

A nation In Trouble
According to the news this morning, this brave officer must have lapsed into a coma and it was his family's decision to terminate life support. Very, very sad.
It troubles me that people think nothing of armed resistance over the slightest infraction. This is New York. Being a cop killer, that felon receives hero status once in the slammer as he'll die of old age or perhaps a shiv, before the state get around to executing him.

My prayers are up for this American hero, his family, friends and fellow officers. So very sad. I hope the shooter gets what's coming to him.

In the local papers they had a photo of the killer - he had a SMUG look on his face as if he was proud of what he did. I hope he gets his due in the slammer! The Officer who died was the same age as one of my kids........

I saw that look too when they played a bit of video of the jerk in Court. Id like saying more but have earned too many dings lately.
