Default Courting bluebirds wins the day

My wife is an amateur photographer and loves to take wildlife pictures. It was announced in January that there would be a county wide photo contest where the three finalist would have thier pictures enlarged, framed, and hung in the lobby of the county courthouse. Individuals could enter up to three pictures. Of the 1500+ photos submitted my wife's picture entitled "Courting Bluebirds" was chosen as one of the finalist and she was very excited.

Sure beats the heck out of wanted posters and legal notices adorning most court house walls!

Reminds me about the lady who went all over central Arkansas maintaining bluebird houses on country fence posts. Used to see her out every day cleaning them out, getting them ready for the next family.

I don't see anything amateurish about this at all. Seriously. I love the composition here. The sense of space, the feel of the overall environment works very well in this photograph. The depth of field is perfect. It's also excellent color work.

She should be excited, and very pleased with her results. I hope you are as well. Congratulations to her on a job well done. She is obviously a talented lady.
