I Have a Problem - Need Advice
I am addicted, yes I am and I am coming out and admitting so. I cannot stop buying guns, primarily Smith & Wesson's and Colt Snake guns. My themes right now are Baby Chief's, Chief Special Targets, 22/32 kit guns, Pre 29's, and all NYSP stamped revolvers.
Any advice, anybody else have this addiction??? Please help!

You just went to the brewery for advice on how to stop drinking
If we knew how to help, we wouldn't be here with the same "cash drain"

Try knitting, I understand it's a GREAT hobby, has great rewards, a good time occupier, & will keep you busy.
PS, It won't help if all you want to knit is "gun mittens".

I think I understand your situation, but you haven't explained yet what part of it is a problem.

Knitting
Aloha,
If you take up knitting and use silicone impregnated yarn,
I take a few in Purple or Lavender, the Wife's Favorite colors.
It will be a great Birthday or Christmas gifts.
I need a few for snubbies and full size autos.
PM me when you start.

I'm living proof.....
I'm living proof that you can get over addictions, or just simply indulge them as long as possible. Depends on what you want.
I'm a firm believer that many addictions have a root that isn't necessarily directly related to the addiction. Find that and half the battle is won.

Geeze you guys would have a rather dismal record as suicide counselors. Your failure rate would be epic. To the OP, sir I have a good feeling that you have fallen into a group of like minded individuals who are absolutely no help with your addiction. And don't even get started on buying 44 specials as you will get no help from anyone here. We all have the same addiction. Frank

Your mistake here is defining it as a problem. Once you realize that you are good to go.

FWIW, my advice is go big early on the most expensive ones. Won't cure the problem, but will limit the eventual damage. Iffn the rumor mill is true, after our next overlords are in, buying guns won't be a problem...
P.S. If possible, get a boat and ID a likely venue for "the accident"

Beating the addiction
Make a list of what you want, when the list is checked off -- you are healed.
Take an inventory of your shootin' irons, how many haven't been shot in 2 years? Go to the shooting range, not the gun show -- your second healing.

There is probably a 12-step program for your problem.

You came to the wrong place for help - you'll find more "enabling" here than withdrawal help....

And don't we all love to spend someone else's money directing the OP to something he'd like to have. I confess to owning 3 44 specials and an assortment of S&W's and can stop anytime. Yeah right.Cheaper to stay home than go to gunshows. With all due respect. Frank

Recognizing the addiction and then admitting you have it are the first steps. I think that's pretty much across the board for any addiction. After that, I have no idea what to do.
BTW, I've got a nice older 4" blue 22/32 for sale if needing a fix.
