For a long time, my drink was J.D. nr. 7. Then I tried J.D. Single Barrel. Awesome. Make sure that this snake gets the good stuff

Now that summer time (my beer drinking season) is done, it's time to get back with my cold weather friend, Jackie D.
Good stuff.

Guy walking down the street carrying a bag and a box.
Little kid asks him "Whatcha got in the bag?"
Guy answers "Jack Daniels".
Kid: "What for?"
Guy: "Snake bite cure."
Kid: "Whatcha got in the box?"
Guy: "Snakes."

I take it as a preventive measure. So far it's worked. I still have to catch my own frogs, however.

I think it is a pretty good whiskey...I just don't understand how people can ruin it by mixing it with Coca Cola.

I've never been overly fond of sweet drinks. The mixers I use if any would be club soda or tonic water. But like a lot of rules there are exceptions. When enjoying the Captain (Captain Morgan that is) I do enjoy classic coke and with Malibu rum pineapple juice goes down just fine.

You gotta look at it the other way 'round..... adding some J.D. makes Coca Cola drinkable .

I have to agree with this. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel and George Dickel Hand Selected Barrel are the way to go with Tennessee whiskey.

Just have a bottle handy, if you do get bit by a snake, drink the whole bottle. After that, you won't care about the snake bite anymore.

I quit JD years ago, if I have to taste it in everything I drink the next day then it ain't for me. Never tried Gentleman Jack tho. I'll just stick to my Scotch and Irish.

And 9 out of 10 snakes would agree! The tenth snake was too drunk to take the poll.

Not for me to bash someone else's whiskey. Me, I'm more partial to a good scotch but I have very good friends who drink JD. Hell, I even have a brother in law that drinks dark & stormies

Booker's Small Batch Bourbon, or Maker's Mark for me!
(I only drink JD, 'Old No. 7' (Black Label) if and when I'm really desperate.)

I do. Bartenders were always trying to sneak the green label stuff into your glass if all you said was, ' Give me a Jack Daniel's.' (It was a lot cheaper!)

You always drink the good stuff when you're alone or maybe with your best friends. I have cheap (and stupid) friends so I keep one of my empties filled with rotgut for when they come over.

Wife and Coca Cola Mixed Drinks

I really relish Scotch, usually with water, but sometimes with Soda. But, on the rare occasion I spend the big bucks and buy something like a 24 year aged Scotch like Glenfiddich it is mixed with just a splash of good water. Well I came home one night and my 'then' wife was just pouring my aged Glenfiddich into a glass of coca cola for her one per night drink. I hit the ceiling. She apologized saying that she didn't know there was a difference between the bar scotch we kept and the 'sippin' scotch. Now, I am not saying it was just that incident, but that particular wife didn't last much longer. I wasn't sad to see the last of her. :-( BTW, I tried her drink and I'll be darned if it wasn't pretty good. :-)
