Prayers for the officer, his family, friends, and co-workers. May the shooter die a slow painful and lingering death. I've got lots more to say but, I damn-well shut my mouth.

My heart hurts for all Leos who put there life on the line every time they put a blue suit on to protect the public. It's a very dangerous job today.
My prayers and thoughts go out for him and his family.
There's a reason I carried a 44mag all my ccw life I wish I was there for his backup.

Another good man gone too soon.
And, you will see -- it's the same, tired old story. Suspect arrested/charged more than 2 dozen times. Incarcerated, but released early. The revolving doors of justice seem to be the only component part of the system that works well.

Very true. We need to get back to using sturdy trees and rope. Worked out pretty well in the good ole days.

Much easier today drop them in the water where the great whites roam. Tie a bloody piece of liver too them and forget about it. If they show up on shore they get life no parole. It not oh well let God sort them out.

Not for nothing that I moved away from NYC. There were so many violent tragedies like this that, as one person sadly said, it becomes impossible to commemorate them. R.I.P., partner.
