Default Vehicles & Deaths

Have you noticed the last couple weeks the deaths and injuries
caused by people driving into crowds. And some on purpose.
I fear there is going to be a call to ban vehicles. It will comfort
you to know that Limousines will not be included.

Default Whether you favor it or not......

They tried to pass an Ohio law to legalize pot but the way the bill was written they citizens were smart to turn it down as it gave only 10 outfits permission to profit from it. Whoever came up with a **** bill like that should be pilloried.

Prohibition of just about anything works so well.

3 or 4 times a week the local news reports vehicles / drivers "losing" control and plowing into homes and businesses.
I have no idea what causes these incidents but no way can they all be mechanical failures or someone becoming confused over which is accelerator or brake. No common denominator between drivers except the majority are female.

But, have you seen the Push for Autonomous Vehicles?

Default accident?

Have you noticed whenever someone kills another with a vehicle 'they' call it an accident?

This past summer I stopped at the Brookshires grocery store so my wife could run in and pick up a couple of items while I sat in the truck. In the side mirror I noticed an elderly lady approach a parking space two down from where I was parked. All of a sudden the car accelerated and she drove through the plate glass window and into the store. Thankfully she didn’t injure herself or anyone inside the store. The woman, in her eighties, told the police she mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

They now have 6” steel poles at the head of the parking spaces in front of the store.

It's always reported as the car crashed into the crowd, not the driver. Just like the gun that"went off". Always blame the inanimate object.

Just prohibit those V-8 engine vehicles, especially the big PU Trucks with 4 wheel drive. They really plow through the crowds in big sweeps.

The last time my father drove he crashed a wall at the home.

M&D soon got rid of their vehicles. I had a heck of a time convincing they didn't need car insurance any more. If you don't drive, and you don't have any cars, seems obvious you don't need insurance. They had been paying for it for about 65 years, so they had trouble wrapping their brains around it.

I hope I can get me one of these new GT-350s before my son has "The Talk" with me, and takes my keys.

Default It is really a progressive problem.

Holding a person or persons responsible for for their actions is "not a proper solution" today, because there are "always reasons" for those actions. I recognized early there are consequences for my actions, good and bad. Really do like my life now. WORKED hard and did well enough to retire comfortable and actually own everything I have. I had sense enough to be satisfied with what I earned, and was lucky to have a wife all these years that felt the same way, the main reason we are here now, living relatively comfortable and happy. We worked for it and will fight to to keep it if necessary. I take a bath almost every day whether I need it or not. America has been dirty a few times, but has managed to come clean when enough people get tired of the smell. Hope we will. Being serious is not easy, but the main rules for this forum are to be nice, don't lie and have fun! Gonna look for some now. FUN ARE GOOD. I'm not as weird as I like certain people to think, but it has worked out well for me often enough. Be fair, be safe, and always have at least a BIG STICK handy, you never know.

Default I have noticed the same thing....

Every once in a while a car would jump through a store window or hit people as a result of being in a wreck or near wreck, but it's like people are just running over people out of the clear blue sky. And it's happening all the time, all over. Maybe 1% of them can be attributed to terrorism or some intentional act but people drunk, on drugs, out of their minds, asleep, trying to make a point, just any reason you could think of.

I used to be able to tell my local news page from the national news page easy. Now I wonder which one I'm on because the same **** is happening all over. Gang shootings, arson, people killing their families and then doing suicide by cop, and it's all happening right here as much as anywhere now.
