Gift Wrapping ?
As the season approaches........ Do you do your own gift wrapping, have someone else do the wrapping, or simply not wrap?
In my case, I wrap (not well, sometimes it looks a little rumpled), but if the circumstances permit and free gift wrapping is offered I do not pass it up. Another option I have used is the gift bag. So what is the tradition in your group?
My wife is big on wrapping, so maybe that prejudices me?

I don't care for the new "Bag" gift thing............
I wrap mine with the good paper and ribbons and bows, now that there is lots of it in the back room after all the years.
Years ago I liked brown paper bags from Raley's or for a little color I would reach for the Sundays comic section !!
Went from duct tape to scotch tape to make the little lady happy. All is beautiful now.......................
I will have the gifts wrapped if from Macy's or high end stores if it is free and then tip the person that wrapped the gift.
I might do one in comic strip this year, just for giggles.

In a closet at work, I kept along plastic container of wrapping supplies. I kept Christmas, Birthday and Anniversary wrap and assorted ribbons on hand. I would wrap the personal gifts for my wife, and let the secretaries have fun wrapping the kids and family gifts. I also kept a stockpile of gifts for when I got too busy and forgot some occasion. I also had a gift I bought the wife for our 25 anniversary.. It was a very nice kitchen knife sharpener.. (right gift, wrong time!) had it wrapped and sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. I almost forgot her birthday, and gave the sharpener and a pair of earrings to her. The earrings match the Sapphire neckless that she got for the 25th Ann. I had learned that earrings are always the right gift. They are always the right size and there is a pair always in my budget. So I started stockpiling earrings and kept them in the wrapping paper box. For an occasion I needed "The Box" for at home, I had it sitting out, and the wife walked by . When she saw the dozen or so pairs of earrings , she smiled and said, "These must be for me" and scooped them ALL up and was gone in a flash. I noticed over the next few days our daughter was also wearing some nice new earrings also.

Do you use the plastic bag's from the market, you can tie a bow with the handles.

I've always wrapped. The results usually looked like the wrapping had been performed by a badger on a bourbon bender.
Then I discovered the Japanese method. Seriously, type Japanese Gift Wrap into YouTube.

Depends on the gift. I may use any of the above methods. But, now I mostly give gift cards, so they usually come in their own little "wrap".

I wrap my own. My wife's are usually put in a larger box than needed so she won't guess what is in it. Often a cardboard box from a bullet supplier or a flat of shotgun shells. I still like to see her smile when she opens them.

A rock, a container with dried beans or small towel can help disguise a gift..............
The little wife is getting very smart at the guessing game, got to keep her on her toes.
One of the in gifts in our family is movie tickets..................
later.

Everything is neatly wrapped with hand-made bows. No two alike. Paper and ribbon selection is extensive and built over time. I tend to receive gifts from the extended family with bows I've made in years past
I'm not a religious person but this IS the most wonderful time of the year for sure. I'm disappointed that my nieces and nephews are now grown and haven't provided any new small children for the enjoyment
We've got no less than 8 trees in the house with the largest being about 16 feet. We used to go out and get a live one each year but it's just too difficult to find nice ones (large enough) that are reasonably priced anymore in Texas. When I lived in Ohio, it was a Saturday after Thanksgiving event for 3 or 4 couples to head out to the tree farms and then meet in the evening for a nice gathering of friends.
Whatever your traditions, make the most of them.
Merry Christmas to all.
