Default Cleaning supplies?

About 16 years ago, the indoor range that I frequented closed it's doors, and my source for a particularly effective cleaning gel disappeared.

I fell in love with this stuff, it was called RB44. It was said that this stuff was liquified, jellied horse manure. I don't know if that was really the case.

This stuff was a pleasant smelling green gel that was extremely effective at removing lead build up from my handgun barrels. I would apply it, let it sit a few minutes, then run patches through the bore, and leading was gone.

Does anyone know if RB44 is still made and where I could obtain it?

Thanks for your help!

Hmmm, I am pretty tuned into solvents, cleaners and preservatives but will admit I have not heard of that one. Even if you find some unopened old stock it might not be as effective anymore due to the age and breakdown. Sorry - not much help.

Thanks Chief!

Fortunately, I still have about a third of a bottle left, but I plan on shooting a lot more home cast lead ammo now that I am disabled. Even a web search was unproductive!

Some people actually find barnyard smells appealing.

Maybe it contained ammonia?
