moon clip loading tool
A few years ago a member here made his own moon clip loading tool, and posted how to make it. I don't want to spend $50 if I don't have to. My 8-shot .357 clips are a bear to load by hand only.

Use a pair of needle nose pliers that you probably already have..
Works perfect for me.....maybe will for you as well...

For my 45 ACP full moons, I use a board with a routed or sawn notch to keep the rounds from rolling around and use a 6" long 7/16 hardwood dowl to press the moon clip down onto the extractor grove. For rimmed cases a kerf cut across the first notch would allow the ammo to lay flat. There is most likely a piece of trim at Home Depot, sold by the foot that will work for this. They even provide the saw to make your kerf cut too!

A DEmooning tool is useful too to reduce the chance of damaging the clips. Midway sells them for the 8 round clips.

I also use the BMT Mooner for my 25-2 45 ACP. I can only de-moon and refill 4 moon clips a minute with it, my grandson can do 6 or 7.
I know they are spendy at $75.00 but some things are just worth it.
