Default You must keep your gun -- Period

The upshot on the new claptrap about guns is simple:

If you hate your gun you must keep your gun -- Period

The most onerous part is that it also applies to Glocks.

Say what? You need to explain what you're talking about. Frankly, I don't see the EO as changing how I deal with my existing firearms or others that I plan to acquire.

If Gov actually defined "being in business" with a very low number of guns over a long period of time, then yes you would be correct.

If in practice they actually start dinging people for selling extremely few guns over long periods of time, then yes you would be correct.

That being said, the examples of transactions they have posted doesn't really make it seem like anything has changed. Maybe I'm missing anything.

I have no idea what the circumstances were in the case where someone was arrested for gun trafficking where only two transactions occurred.

Well:
If you have a 44 and it's kinda wore out and a bit seedy why not trade it for two 22s? I've heard this is more then satisfactory in other areas!

In my family we have an ironclad rule: OK to buy a new Glock, but never-ever sell, trade, or otherwise get rid of one of the family Glocks. That way our Glock collection keeps growing and we are richer for it.

Pics, please !

Semi-seriously for a minute, if you could only make ONE MORE trade or purchase before being 'locked in' to your collection, what would it be ?

I'm at least one 3.5" pre-27 away from Smith Nirvana. That or a nice Reg Mag would probably be my choice.

Anyone else?

I can't think of a reason to sell a perfectly good gun, especially here in NJ where it is painful to purchase. As far as I am concerned they are as good as money in the bank. The god ones should at least hold their value and who knows how crazy it's going to get in years to come.
Hard times are coming.

Its my M-98 Mauser sniper variant. It is on here somewhere, but was posted about two years ago. Right now I don't have the ability to post any images.

Its a mint conditioned M 98 Mauser sniper rifle variant w/ 25 round fixed Anstekmagazin. I don't have ability to post images but, it was posted here about 2 years ago. I jut can't remember what thread its in? When discovered that I had this rifle? it was suggested to me to contact Richard D. Law, who wrote two volumes on Mauser rifles and sniper rifles. None in his sniper volume, looks exactly like mine but, just one or two slight differences. Laws books are titles: Backbone of the Wehrmacht vol 1&2. Law was allegedly planning a third book on Mausers before he died and mine would have been in vol. 3.

I'd much prefer a pair of 44's to a pair of 22's though...

I think a pair of 22s would kill me. Or a single one for that matter.

It kinda boils down to what the Gap actually is. You need to insert you feeler gauge here and get a good reading. Unfortunately tightening the gap up on these old 44s up is usually only a short term solution.
