You mean Andrew Hines. They might agree, as far as rough. V twin pro stocks are difficult to ride. All the engineering on those is by Byron Hines, so no lack of engineering, but not a street bike.

yes I did mean Andrew....and just by its very configuration a V-twin is going to be rougher than a 4 or 6 cyl.......and Byron Hines has the reputation to build off any platform he chooses.....after all him and Terry Vance started with Suzukis

OP checking back in...
OP here, thanks for all of the kind comments and support. As far as the never ending branding wars, well some things never change. LMAO!
Been on a couple of great rides as I get acquainted with my new bike. Fortunately living here in Arizona winter doesn't pose too much of a challenge. We leave late enough for the black ice to be gone and layer up. Lots of great roads just out my back door and between my two riding buddy neighbors and the local bike club I have unlimited opportunities to "Get my motor runnin!

I have owned a total of 5 Harley's, two currently. I won't say I won't own anything else, but the competition is gonna have to style something that catches my eye.

OP here with an other update...
It has been a couple of months since my last post and I am having more fun with this bad boy every day. I wanted to put on some serious Interstate cruising time in preparation for an upcoming ride to San Diego. My riding buddies and the local bike club usually just ride the two lane twisties so I haven't spent all that much time out on the freeway.
Logged 400+ miles today in perfect weather - very little wind with the temps climbing up into the low 80's by noon (after departing at 0715 when it was just 45). Cruising at the legal limit of 75 (at a very comfortable 2,800 rpm), on I-8 and I-10 gets me a steady 42 mpg and the Super glide is rock solid and smooth.
I've racked up 3,000+ miles in the last couple of months thanks in no small part to the amazing, warmest on record, winter we have enjoyed here in southern Arizona. Still waaaay too much fun and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

When I bought my first Harley, a brand new 2007 Electra Glide Ultra Classic, I was just coming off of a couple of Suzuki middle weight cruisers. When I got it home my wife wanted to go for a test ride so we geared up and went for a spin.
When we got to the first stop sign she said over the intercom, "is something wrong? What's all that shaking when we stopped?"
I said, "don't worry baby, we paid extra for that."

It's nice to hear you're enjoying your Dyna Capt and I'm envious of your weather there. We've had *some* good riding days but our riding season is really just now beginning. I'm planning on riding up Michigan's U.P. then over to Colorado sometime this summer and I may swing into Arizona to visit a friend in Heber.
Stopped in the local big 4 Japanese brand motorcycle dealership last week and they had four Harley's on the floor. One was a 2015 Dyna Low Rider with 300 miles on it and I was very tempted to make them an offer on it.
