I'm A TV Star
I'm a star.
Today, while I was in the midst of selling a gun to a customer, I noticed a young lady who works for a Macon, GA TV station standing off to the side. She is a close friend of my daughter, and our families have been pretty close for three generations.
Anyhow, when I got a minute, she asked if she could bring in a reporter to interview me about farm prices, of all things. I told her sure, but I really wasn't up to date on current events on that subject.
It turns out that Alicia and the young reporter with her had attended a GA Farm Bureau event discussing projected consumer prices for ag commodities. They had problems getting much usable footage from vendors at the Farmers Market. Alicia said she told the reporter she knew a farmer they could interview (me) if he happened to be in town.
Anyhow, they ran the segment on the 5:00 news and again at 6:00. I would like to point out that I have lost 80 pounds since those pictures of me in the field. Alicia found all those pictures on my Facebook page. Notice the Lobo flap holster carrying a 3" Chiefs Special in one picture. Some of my FB friends made smartass remarks about Wilford Brimley and diabeetus supplies.
2016 agricultural forecast says milk and poultry will be down

Absolutely outstanding interview and news report. So few Americans anymore have the slightest idea about from where their food actually comes. Even in the South--we are becoming more and more urban. Aldo Leopold said one of the smartest things I have ever read--"There are two spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. One is the danger of supposing that breakfast comes from the grocery, and the other that heat comes from the furnace.”
You are truly rich in spirit.

Awesome thanks for the news of farm produce for 2016.
I have a garden since my grandfather from Italy had one ever since I can remember it's in my blood. The only year I didn't plant because we put
A addition on the house. I paid $5 for two lousy store bought tomatoes. Back to the garden ever since. When I hear higher prices are coming we plant more but now I live were local farms are so we support them too with the inbetweens I don't grow.

Red-you remind me of me before I cut back to 10 biscuits! And you definitely favor Wilfred Brimley. You know, I really enjoy your posts, and they make me miss Georgia, a place where you can learn to neighbor. Well done!

Very good interview there Red... and yes, you do resemble Wilfred.
That's better than me, I had a lady tell me I look like Uncle Si from 'Duck Dynasty.'

Now that you are famous
Will you be replacing R. Lee Ermey as spokesman for Glock pistols?

I'd just as soon speak for Hi Point as for Glop.

You know, that Georgia company could probably offer you a larger paycheck for your services; then, money isn't everything.

Dern video didna play for me captain, but I imagine you did a great interview. :-))
I've been 'ambushed' by local media over the years myself. Last time was about three years ago when a bicyclist wasn't lasting attention ran into oncoming traffic, hit by Lady in a jeep, did one hell of a Summersault over her jeep too.

A nice buttermilk soaked chicken breast fried in "pea-nit erl" is a great treat.

That's right nice, Mark.
They say the camera adds ten pounds. So you're lookin' righteous.

I expected to see you sweating "like a sharecropper with the fertilizer bill"; an expression I noted from one of your posted comments long ago, but man you were cool as could be.
