I know it's early but if the article is correct, I think we know why this happened.

I must be cynical. First thing I thought of was: what kind of gun? If it was a revolver or even a DA semiauto, I can't think of any three year olds with a large enough hand and strong enough grip to overcome the trigger pull weight.

Maybe, still makes me wonder.

But if even one child can be saved it is worth the pain to publicize that these kinds of preventable tragedies can and do happen.

I always take precautions

I think it needs to be publicized, but the statement that begins with "If it saves even one life" is generally followed by somebody attempting to restrict my rights even further in an attempt to legislate "stupid" out of the human experience.
