Where did my money go?
I spent some on booze, some on women, and some on gambling.
I guess I wasted the rest of it.

Women, booze, music and of course a few guns what else is there? Okay, food and stuff like that. Do I regret any of it? No not really I may not have a lot of stuff like some people but I got memories, oh the memories.

It wasn't wasted if you spent some on hunting, fishing, bird dogs, guns or ammo.

I've run at least one farm out gun barrels but I have never wasted but one cartridge in my life. In a past life I dropped a .22LR in about 18 inches of soft snow and never did find it. I know where the money went and I wouldn't trade the memories for twice the money. Larry

Hahaha!
Very close to a line from Elmore Leonards' novel LaBrava.
LaBrava was driving around South Beach with his elderly pal Maurice. He told Maurice, "I thought you were a millionaire."
Maurice: "I was. I spent 80% of it on boats and broads. The rest of it I wasted."
Typical Elmore Leonard. I miss Justified, based on another Leonard story. (He exec. produced) It was the dialogue that made that series.

Once I was young, foolish , and in love. Used my money to buy a good pistol. Sold it to finance an engagement ring. Now the money is gone, the gun is gone, the ring is gone, and the woman is gone. Sure wish I had that gun back.

W.C.Fields came into the bar and asked the bartender: "Last night did I spend $100 here on booze and broads?"
Bartender: "Yes sir, I'm afraid you did".
W.C. Fields: "thank God, I thought I'd lost it".

In a previous life I was an accountant. One of my clients was a popular bar. One morning the bartender, from the previous night, came in with a check ($100) and pulled $100 cash out of his wallet and said I better
cover this check I took last night. I asked why. He said look at the signature. It was signed by Rembrant.

A master piece signed by Rembrant could be valuable.

The "check artist" who signed Rembrant was more creative than the one who signed U. R. Stuck.

Just being young wouldn't be any good if you weren't foolish enough to enjoy it.

I don't know where it came from but the saying is, no one ever laid on their death bed wishing they'd worked more.

We grow too soon old and too late smart. By the time we get to where
we know it all we can't remember it.

Well, I've been married 3 times, divorced twice. Since I lost "half" twice, well do the math. Joe
