Don't know for sure. Legs are kind if long. Maybe a dog? How big is that tree behind it?

It's snout is long, it's front shoulders are large. It was taking during a snow storm. It's rear legs don't look like a dog. There are wild boar in ct.

I was thinking Chupacabra too, but I don't see wings. Big head and snout, looks like a wild boar to me.... if there is only a little snow on the ground legs look like the correct length.

Bill I live in the same town as you. But in all my years of hunting in Ct. I've never seen a wild boar in Ct. .I've shot a few up in VT. there used to be a guy that sold domestic hogs in Plymouth by the lake. I wonder if one got loose?

The state deep won't say for sure we have hogs. But there's lots of info about hogs in ct if you search it.
I have a gaggle of turkeys, many deer, bucks, does , fawns, raccoons, Lynx, a tall bobcat, coyote, and his boar.

Bill I live up the street from the ball field and I've seen deer, turkey, racoon, coyote, bear and even a beaver in my yard also some skunks.
I,m not saying pigs are not possible as when I was a very small child(around 4 or 5) in the late 50's my dad and myself with his friend were cutting firewood on Pinnacle mtn. on the Plainville/New Britian line. We encountered about 20 or more big and small ferral pigs in the woods this was up near the old missle base.
As far as the D.E.P not saying we have boar look how long before they would admit we have mtn. lion.

There's a resident MOUNTAINLION at black rock state park. My kids had a condo there and had encounters. No one would believe them until the MOUNTAINLION strolled through the center of the parking lot them everyone was up in arms, OMG.
I told my neighbor in vt I seen a MOUNTAINLION at my camp there.
In disbelief he asked another neighbor past me. She said I'm from Colorado and I know what they look like, yes we do have MOUNTAINLION here. I know what I saw and heard.
All my newly planted fruit trees are just starting to give fruit. The past few years there is no fruit on them. A 400lb Blackbear was in the yard one evening. That's a big bruin.

The head looks like a lab to me, or possibly something like a golden retriever. I think it is a dog.
