Some of those look pretty good, especially the ones from that Jaruwan guy. Shipping takes a couple of weeks but I don't mind waiting. Price is right. Just wondering about the quality especially of the checkering and if the medallions are like the real ones.

About three years ago, I bought two pairs of the Thai grips - one K-frame and one N-frame, from two separate eBay sellers (I don't remember the names). Pretty cheap at that time (I think I paid about $30 each including shipping), and shipping was very quick. Both were smooth wood, sort of combat-style. They look and fit very well, no complaints at all. There are several different vendors, so some may be better than others. You just have to take a chance, but in my case, no regrets. The only thing I didn't like was brass screws, but a little instant blue cured that.

Mine arrived last week and they are VERY nicely done. I did have to deepen the cut for the magazine release. Nothing my rat tail file couldn't handle in about 45 seconds.
I would buy from them again if I needed to.

several on e-bay, mostly for S&W revolvers. Only one that didn't fit properly was one for a Colt King Cobra. Nicely finished and good grain structure.

Very happy with the pair I got for my Model 64, the wood has great grain and is harder that a brick bat! I think they were $54 delivered. Had to modify them a little as one was covering part of the logo. That's how I know how hard they are. Did not re-finish them and you can not tell. Not sure they have any finish on them at all, forget what the type of wood.

I bought two sets for my 1911's. They have a built-in "magwell" in the bottom. Both fit perfectly, and the finish was very nice. They're were $40/set. I'm very happy with them.

I purchased them for my n frames no problem there nice. Purchased them for my cz's nice again.

Wanting some K frame RB Combats, but not wanting to come up with the current crazy prices, I opted for some 'sorta lookalike' Philippine grips on eBay.
They fit well, checkering is OK, but the escutcheons look like some sort of silvered plastic. Really cheap looking.
Got an idea from someone else that thought the same, and 'colored' the escutcheons with a black Sharpie a few times, and rubbed off the excess ink. This effectively 'antiqued' the escutcheons so that they looked better.

Bought a set for a K frame. They didn't fit real well. They aren't cut for speed loaders either if that matters. I ended up with Ahrends. Should have saved my money and bought them to begin with.

I bought a set for my West German Sig P220 9mm single stack & heel release, they are perfect. Also bout a pair for my PPKs and they are great also.
With both sets I got the ones I ordered, not some "like them".

The set I got were junk. I'm sticking with Ahrends or Altamont, better grips and made in the US.

Have a few sets with great grain in them. Slight adjustments on 2 of them, no problem. They are more of an exhibition grade wood and would have been considerably more money bought any where else. I like nice wood, Larry
