This is why some of us need to be driven around with the child locks engaged...

So sad...even if it was past due date. I had imagined a scene, though, with dozens of suds fans milling around, trying to score a few free ones. And probably at least half of them would be Forumites!

I just had a flashback to old steel cans of Black Label that had sat in the Viet Nam sun for about a year before being "cooled" and passed out to the troops! I am convinced that free beer is what did in the Black Label company and others!

In the "Mile High City" the folks were wishing for it to rain Doritos.

When I lived in Australia, a Four X ( yeah, the label says:" XXXX" because Queenslanders can't spell beer) rolled over. The driver walked away unhurt, but the Ambos took him away to the nearest clinic some 50 miles away. By the time the Qld police arrived EVERY carton of beer was gone.
The local pub went quiet for a week.

Not a gift from heaven, but from an overpass.
Heaven would have dropped Pilsner Urquell!

When I was in RVN, my sister-in-law, a wonderful woman, made me a big box of fudge, and carefully wrapped each piece in waxed paper. After sitting in a warehouse in RVN or a few days it was one solid mass of mixed fudge and waxed paper. I ate it anyway.

Kinda the same story. My Dad sent a whole box of Hersey bars. What a melted mess that was.
As for beer. Never saw any until about a week before I left.
