Slip 2000 ???
While rummaging in garage today I came across a GALLON of the product Slip2000. I cannot figure out where it came from or how it came to be in the garage. ( Seems I suffer from CRS ).
It seems to be too heavy to be a cleaner, and not light enough to be a lubricant, as stated on the label. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
Thanks for any input..

I have not tried their lube but the "carbon killer" products do not work as advertised. It takes off "loose" carbon but so will windex. For a while, Slip showed ads how you could rub their carbon remover onto revolver cylinders and the burned carbon magically comes off. Same claim for ports and compensators. I absolutely GUARANTEE it does not work. I ended up returning the stuff I bought to them after some unpleasant conversation about fake ads and false advertising. FYI: I still use some of the carbon killer, it works as a mediocre cleaner but it does not do what the ads show.

I agree. The carbon killer does not work as advertised. I'll use it to rinse a barrel or something, but it doesn't do what they claim. That ad with the revolver cylinder magically free of the burn rings was why I bought the ****, and it didn't do what it said it would.

Can't speak to the carbon remover mentioned by others, but as to the regular lubricant you have - good stuff! I was introduced to it during a Trident Concepts AR class at the Sig Academy by Jeff Gonzales. It's designed for guns that need to be run wet and dirty, like hard use AR15s, MP5s, etc. I tried it in my rifle for that class, about 3000 rounds in 3 days with no cleaning in between - just a few drops on the bolt/bolt carrier to start each day and it kept on plugging along. It performed much better than good old CLP/etc. It's not a miracle lube by any means, but it's very good quality for what its purpose is.

That's where I use it, in the AR. I put it on the bolt, and inside the bolt. Works good. Seems to keep the carbon loose and doesn't burn off.

This is what a lot of the tactical operators in Afghan are using on their weapons platform systems with good results.

Me too. A cleaner that will remove burn rings is like the holy grail of solvents...... which is to say a myth that does not exist.

Sal,
Get a case of little tiny 1 ounce bottles and a funnel. Print some really cool Tactical Labels and sell them at say $9.95 each!!
Add to the retirement fund.
You know where to sell them
