Well, you have to wonder why the guy decided to clear his weapon at that time and place. Amazing. I usually don't try to take care of other odd jobs while doing "the job". Plus, handling and unloading guns is a pay attention job, how do you do that while your trying to unload the big bore?
Lucky for him it struck below the knee. He could have ended up with a snub nose.
