Default One Man's Opinion About Firearm Trainers

The author makes some pointed comments about "tactical" firearm

Is he on point or do you disagree?

I don't know. He's writing is unfocused, and the font choice and layout are so poor that I couldn't get more than five paragraphs in before I thought to myself, why am I giving myself a headache to read something so meandering, and quit. Plenty of other opinions on the internets to read.

My own opinion: It reads like a 6th grader wrote this--- maybe it was intentional in order to sound 'real'---but if that's the case, it would seem like the writer is emulating the very bravado he seems to be criticizing.

I found it...cliche...how he declares (like many do) that he believes in the 2nd Amendment, then he proceeds to explain the list of all of the places that HE doesn't want non-LEO's carrying guns (it's a long list of places), and then, he proceeds to explain how he wants an organization to decide how much training everyone must receive in order to exercise our Natural Rights.

He then displays his ignorance about the origins of the 2nd Amendment (John Locke's Second Treatise on Government, chapter 19), by arguing that we all need training to drive, fly, practice medicine and law, so therefore our Natural Rights should require training and a license. He seems proud of his ignorance.

When someone shows me how ignorant they are by saying such things, I tend to dismiss them outright.

I skimmed through the article. As far as Yeager goes he's right. The guy is a tool. He proclaims himself to be some operator when he's just some former part time cop. He went to Iraq as an contractor and got a bunch of people killed with his stupidity. When real S hit the real Fan he ran and hid. Here in the states he tried to pass himself off as some sort of operator until enough people called him out on it. He sells out to the highest bidder. For years he proclaimed that the 1911 was garbage and all anyone needs is a Glock...... UNTIL..... Kimber payed him to advertise. Afterwards Glocks suck and 1911 are the best BUT ONLY IF ITS A KIMBER. All other 1911 still suck. He's done the same with other products. I don't know how people pay him for training when there are so many good quality trainers

I'm certainly no fan of Yeager, but that about all I agree with this guy on.

I read about half of his rant and just couldn't go on. Anger, profanity and accusations are definitely not the way to make a point.

He pretty much lost me right here:

" Weapons are not “cool” they are not “fun” they are awesome destructive devices made for a singular purpose, to kill. Firearms specifically have one lone utility, to turn a living person, into a dead one."

When you share the same attitude towards firearms as the anti-gunners, you ain't on my side.

This guy is just as, if not more, screwed up than Yeager.

The truly disturbing thing is that people that don't know better follow him like he's a god.

On my iPad, too glitchy to read. Perusing the above, looks like I am not missing much.

"Apologies to Porn Star Buck Angel" ? Since I don't watch porn that reference escapes me, and he turned me off by using obscenity.

Guns have one purpose - to kill human beings?

That's where I stopped. I agree, the term AD really should changed to ND, but all of my guns combined haven't killed a single soul, and I hope they never do. Ted Kennedy's car on the other hand....

This guy is a fruitcake, IMHO.

On the doofus who had the website in the OP.. he should get an editor/censor to go over his material before he posts it. I could not get through it either.

a note about guys who endorse products... they should not allow ad writers to put them into stupid commercials... even if they are getting paid big money...

One poor smuck did a series of commercials on the Outdoor channel (I think)where he endorsed ABC brand (niteforce ?) AR15's & said very somberly, words to the effect that he would only trust/rely on that brand all the while he's looking directly into the camera....

Sure enough, after a period of time, the first company quit using him as a spokesman in their ads & a different company had him endorse their brand of AR15's too... and he does the same basic ad... but now he says, I only rely on XYZ brand of rifles and then he adds quietly that ABC brand could be relied on too...

I'm told he has a Ranger tab, and one guy said he might have been Delta, and I'm glad he's making some money endorsing stuff. If he has the combat time they said he has, he's dern sure earned the right to be a spokesman... but the ad man made him look silly.

But that commercial was written in such a way that it was guaranteed that he'd look like a doofus when eventually, another company would hire him to promote their firearms.

There were paragraphs? Maybe it's just my phone, but it seemed like one long rambling rant with no paragraph breaks. I had to laugh at(and actually agree with)the part about chem trails and conspiracy theories. My FIL came over a few weeks ago with a DVD of some evangelical guy talking about the same thing. I just shake my head at that and question his sanity.

Everyone makes fun of Yeager on that. Buck Angel is a male porn start who looks like Yeager. You'd think they were brothers. Buck also used to be a woman

It's a blog. He can write it any which way. I didn't read all of it cause I knew where it was going having heard these stories before. Honestly thought i don't see a problem. Not everyone talks like they're in a children's cartoon. You should hear me
