Ohio 2017 gun shows
The previous thread I started a few weeks ago has been deleted by ? with no reason/explanation given.
So I'll try it again.
Shows for Jan 14 & 15
Antwerp
Columbus
Hilliard
Maumee
Medina
Middlefield
I was providing with each one a link to the site containing the show info,as I did in last years' thread. Maybe the administrators/moderators don't want those links added to the thread anymore.

Berea is the place to be on Saturday morning, see you there. Anyone with a PRE-model 15 police gun with a lot of blue wear or PRE-14 same condition, let me know. Larry

Berea and Medina are nice, though beat/used magazines for more than new ones is a bit of a joke.
Wellington and Norwalk are lackluster.

Avoid the Sharonville show. They raised the ticket price to $10 and the number of dealers peddling the same old stuff...is beginning to decline.

Don't forget the famous Schomys gun show every Saturday near Red Lion Ohio at the pipeline pumping station on St. Route 122. This show has been around for 40 years. Any reference to it on the web is outdated as this is a recent move to a new location.

Picked up 2 tooled holsters, one black and one tan for establishing a 'barbecue' rig.

Camp Michael Gun Show | 2017 Bucyrus OH Gun Show

planning on the Novi show for Saturday and then go on Sunday(weather permitting) to Kings Island to ride rollercoasters.

Hey Denny, let's see pics of the BBQ Rigs. I very seldom see tooled holsters at the shows. You have a good eye walking around the shows. Larry

Yes,the 'lake county gun shows' are the worst.
Berea,I'll go late Sunday morning. I always avoid Saturdays,Sundays are more relaxed and less crowded.
Probably a change of plans for the weekend. Berea late Saturday morning because of Canfield automotive swap meet for Sunday.

I guess I lied about not attending a gunshow until June. I went to the Lima gun show yesterday,Saturday.
Never been to it because of drive time and miles, one way was 2:50 and 182 miles. Was the most incredible Ohio gun show because of the things that interested me,someone else might think it's not that great. Magazines everywhere,OEM S&W mags. Of all the 1st,2nd,3rd gen mags I saw,I'd say 90% were pre-ban as in the realm of blue and 2 witness holes, metal baseplate. Blue 69 series, never seen those before. Picked up one 40 10rd and a 59 series 20rd.
Saw many of my 'grail' longarms. Five Weatherby MarkXXII 22lr,a Remington 541T 22lr bolt action,a good selection of bolt action in 243Win.
Quite a few Remington XP100,TC Contender. At one vendor, there was 6 trays(maybe 20 in a tray) of varieties of Contender/Encore barrels.
Didn't even look at any S&W revolvers and pistols, but there were a lot of the revolvers there.
Gonna have to rethink about attending future Lima shows.
Went to Cedar Point, since I was crossing Ohio from the west to the east,on the way home from the show to attend their opening day.
As bad as the weather was in eastern Ohio, western Ohio and Cedar Point had pleasant but cool weather under mostly sunny sky.
Shows for May 13 & 14

I've attended these shows in the past with Wyatt and found them very enjoyable. The only detriment was the drive. Nice drive in good weather though.

I don't have to worry about that LONG drive for a while as the next Lima show isn't until October.

Went there this past Saturday. Saw a super nice M10 snub for $525. A 66-2 snub a little rough and a Smith model 59 in box. Overall a good show but not always so.

Went to the Berea show today,Sunday. Was there about an hour towards the end of the morning. Didn't go to look for/buy anything, just to socialize with some of the vendors as it's been awhile since I've been to a show.
Was better than I thought it was gonna be because I was anticipating empty tables for a mid-summer show. Not so,but crowd was light.
No shows scheduled for July 15/16.

Went to the Novi show, good show. 420 miles,7 hrs. Found 3 45CS mags,1 @ 50 that I passed on and 2 @ 35 that I acquired. Found some 9mm 10 rounders for selling to California. Got a box of Norma 38sp ammo,I collect the old Norma and SuperVel ammo.
2 years ago at that show I found some 356TSW ammo(very rare) that I picked up for a S&W 'bunch' member (Bob). When I got those he said he had more but not at the show. 2 years later he remembered me and has been bringing the ammo to the Novi shows,he had 7 boxes which will be passed on again to Bob.
Also looked for 'tooled' holsters, didn't find any. Looked for S&W mag baseplates, didn't find any.
Not many vacant tables for a supposedly slow summer show.

Went to the Berea show today,Saturday. Was there from 9am to 12:30. I typically go late Sunday morning to avoid the Saturday morning 'frenzy' but there was not much of a crowd and was pleasant. Wasn't there looking for guns but I did see some that caught my attention. Was there to meet with BRatliff and talk to Larry. Picked up some brass,a small black tooled LH holster and a bunch of S&W 3rd gen mags.
Might go back tomorrow ?
No shows next weekend,BUMMER !!!

Yep,went back today Sunday. 11:00-12:30,more crowded than it was yesterday. More mags and a holster. Stopped in at the 'flea market' on the adjacent fairgrounds.

One mans' junk is another mans' treasure,so I can't answer it for your perspective. Got to it at 12:30 at which time was too late because 'flea marketeers' were packing up. Picked up a tile cutter, because of the interesting sliding mechanics of it,might prove useful for my pistol recoil spring strength project.

I made it to the Medina show this morning. Some nice guns to look at just nothing that I was looking for. Returned a defective holster and found a nice EDC knife. Run into Pharman while there and had a chance to visit with him.

I didn't make either show. The Mansfield show I had planned for Saturday, well Cedar Point was open till midnight Friday and no way would I be able to get up early for the long drive to Mansfield after getting home at 2am. The weather was too great for a late October day to go to Cedar Point. So Saturday and most of the day Sunday was yardwork because of the weather and went to Cedar Point for a couple hours late Sunday.
Shows for Oct 28 & 29
Sidney,Shelby Co. 28th ONLY
Shelby County Gun & Knife Show 2017 • Sidney, Ohio
Ashland
Ashland Gun Show 2017 • Ashland, OH by Norris Gun Shows
Dayton

C&E Springfield Gun Show 2017 • Springfield, Ohio
Sycamore
Rogers Lake/Sycamore Gun Show 2017 • Sycamore, Ohio
Akron/Tallmadge
https://gunshowtrader.com/gun-shows/...gun-show-ohio/
