Odd 9mm sculpture.
Saw this H.R. Giger sculptural cutaway of a Walther P38 with some odd cutaway bullets.
If your in the neighborhood, their part of an interesting collection here .....

Well, I have seen a lot of strange stuff but I have to give you that one. What the heck are those things?
Bet that would cause a stir in the autopsy room!

The sculptor is the creator of the creature from the movie "Alien", starring Sigourney Weaver.

Or maybe the Maternity Ward, since the name is "Birth Machine". I think it had something to do with population growth.

My poor redneck concept of art doesn't quite stretch that far. If the artist was my neighbor I would not sleep well. The creature from the movie was extremely fear inducing and one of those wake up shaking bad dream types that I think have to come from a vision that I hope I never have. Thanks for posting you have expanded my thoughts on art.

Actually, he's from California, had to take off the flash suppressor.
The art work reminds me of that line about bullets (cartridges) from Mad Max Fury Road:
- Angharad used to call them anti-seeds.
- Plant one and watch something die.

Didn't know the 9mm headspaced on the goggles..
Weird stuff. I'll have to catch that Alien movie some time. Probably right after the one about the big shark.

The one about the big shark is pretty good, although not as good as Peter Benchley's book.
Haven't see, Alien.
Seriously those cartridges are weird stuff.

Had to come back and take another look! Still strange. If you haven't seen Alien you should, you may end up sleeping with more than one gun.

Odd is certainly an accurate description!
Amazing workmanship though, or artistry!
Maybe I missed it, but what is the scale of this piece of art; full size, miniature, oversize?

In the video, it's mounted in a frame outside the entrance to the museum. About 4' tall, I guess.

Thanks! So not IWB or OWB, but if you wore that guess you would not worry about printing!

Very funny!! There are probably some creative types that your better off not understanding. Maybe just coincidence, but his father was a Swiss pharmacist, at the time that LSD was discovered in Switzerland.
My husband and I stopped for a fondue lunch down the street from his museum, and chose not to go in. I'm more a fan of old Flemish masters and French impressionists.

Now I understand! I tend toward Ansel Adams type art but I do find this making me look more than once. Probably would not have went in either.

I'd rather live next door to Giger than Steven King...
