I have always wondered if the guy that dumped the junk in front of my house was the same guy who I paid to remove it. I had to photograph the tub and water heater because without the picture, no one would believe me.
What a sweet racket that would be!! Once a day, drop the same tub and water heater off in front of someone's home who looks like they could afford to pay to have it hauled away, pick it up in the afternoon, same thing ever day, say 5 days a week, what's that, $625 a week, tax free, you could even work it around a real job. Use the same tub and water heater over and over.... Yes, I can see it now....

BEST regards, Les

Cool a couple here

One is a quickly snapped pic of a range I go to now and then. Owned and maintained by the conservation commission. The second is an old oak tree that you could see through easily but still had leaves. It has since been cut down.
Peace,
Gordon

Some of my favorite amphibians, because they lead such a mysterious, secluded life. Salamanders, or in this stage they're called efts I believe. Found them in our vernal pool in the woods.

a couple more from our SC days (always nice to reminisce lol).
A sunset shot while walking across the dam on Lake Murray (cell pic so not high quality), gators from one of the plantations (ok, this northern boy took a ton of gator pix while there), and a snowstorm that dumped white stuff all over our palm tree we had planted. Thought that was a little ironic.

ohh i have plenty of gator pix, i considered myself a 6 year tourist of SC lol. That was one from the ponds at the Magnolia Plantation, another great spot to see them is the Savannah Wildlife refuge (the drive you can take thru it) on the SC/GA border.

Noticed multiple time turtles hanging by the gators, never really figured out why they relaxed in the sun with each other

This goofball is NOT supposed to be allowed on the couch.
He slunk up and laid his head on my lap as if to beg me to let him stay.
His mother looks on, disapprovingly.

Here he is a minute later after I asked him what he thought he was doing on the couch.

I don't know why I saved these but now I get to use them.

Last year, one of my nephews (32 and an actual gun guy) called me very shaken. He was so upset that he had to tell someone that wouldn't disown him.

He had a ND with a SD9VE. His family was not there but the "what if" was consuming him. He wanted me to come over and calm him down as I was his favorite uncle and fellow "gun guy".

The projectile went through 2 walls, into the garage, through both sides of an aluminum ladder and coming to rest in the 2x4 leg of a saw horse. He will assuredly never forget this lesson.

Decaying pallet in the back of the shop. Another tenant threw it out. I love how the blue in the wood contrasts with the fall color of the leaves. I also like how the straight lines of the pallet contrast with the pointy lines of the leaves. Also, the pallet is stationary while the leaves were blowing in the wind.

Light shining through a Western Redbud tree. I just really liked the colors, shapes, and light.

Rocks at the beach. John went fishing and I went for a walk.

Light shining through a Western Redbud tree. I just really liked the colors, shapes, and light.

Rocks at the beach. John went fishing and I went for a walk.
You must be an artist or artistic by heart.

Default Taken at The Buffalo Bill Museum And Grave

I have always loved this picture--Oscar Wilde's invitation to Buffalo Bill for tea in 1887. I guess it is the irony--from buffalo hunter to tea with Oscar Wilde. What a life.

The forum members have some really neat and interesting photographs.
A lot of them would be publish worthy.

Noticed the right angle shadow while in front of the house.
Snapped off a cell phone pic and much later noticed the disc.
No idea what it is, don't even want to know!

Night time i like to relax and read. And when lounging, our Aussie enjoys her cuddle time with her papa.

And i agree with the others, this has been an enjoyable thread. Some very nice pix have been posted. Thx for sharing them!

** i should add if anyone noticed in the pic, no i am not reading a book about breakfast (french toast), but rather a very good action based novel from CG Cooper. I mean, i like french toast but not gonna read about it lol
