Special day in history for me...
Exactly 50 years ago today, 17FEB1967, The USAF decided they no longer needed my active participation. It released me from active duty and told me to stand down for the balance of my six years, inactive reserve...

My 50th anniversary of separation from active duty is fast approaching...April 26, 1967. Reserve duty was never a factor since reserve units were full of people trying to avoid Nam. One GI from my unit was ordered to duty with a reserve unit in eastern PA. Needless to say he was overjoyed when the unit voted to request a call to active duty.
