Default Desert blooms

My desert adapted Gopher Plant in full bloom here in Las Vegas, NV. The plant is 1 1/2 ft. high and wide. This color
lasts about a month or so.

Beautiful!!

As a kid in England, me mum and I would walk to the village square on weekends for shopping, socializing and treats. There were, to me, a seemingly endless line of stalls selling cut flowers.

The array of colours, hues, shapes and smells amaze me to this day. Flowers are one of my favorite things on Earth and I would rather watch them than tv.

I do believe that they are God's way of saying: "Can I cook, or what?"

Thanks for sharing.

I've heard that if you can catch the desert in full bloom it will change your opinion of how drab the desert looks. The thing that changed my opinion of the desert or what we call scab rock country around here is how different it looks during sunrise and sunset. Very little to appreciate during the daylight hours, except maybe the play of shadows on rock formations.

Reminded me of a movie I saw as a kid in the 50s "The living Desert" it had lots of footage of the desert in full bloom after a rainstorm. beautiful!
Thanks,
Steve W
