S&W website issue: www.smith-wesson.com
Didn't know where to post this so I'll put it here.
At: All Firearms | Smith & Wesson the S&W "gun finder" lists 45acp and 45auto separately and each one yields different search results. Now I am not a firearms expert but that seems like a problem that should be correctly. What do you think?

I think I have bigger issues to worry about then what S&W has on their website.

I was looking for a 45 Shield and found it. It wasn't listed under 45acp though. It's a 45auto!

I think this is what comes from hiring gun ignorant folks to admin a website.

I just went to the SW "Gun Finder" there are 5 categories to select from and none of them are "caliber"
So those selections will skew the results.
Gun Finder | Smith & Wesson
Why not just click "browse firearms" click view ALL handguns?or pistols, revolvers etc.
Another "first world problem"

The old site was more customer friendly IMHO.

I have seen a ton of stores in San Antonio start and then shutdown. When the Ruger LCP started coming out I saw one for sale at Sportsman warehouse and let my buddy know.
Jim went to buy it and the sale clerk was very helpful and very apologetic that they had no .380 ACP ammo to sell with it!! The gun manager gave Jim his desk and personal phone number and said to call him weekly for an ammo update. It took Jim several tries to finally purchase the ammo.
I agree that the big box stores have two major challenges, overhead cost keep them from competing with other stores and the internet bypasses all of the cost having a store front. However, I have been to GM, Bass Pro and others and they refuse to price their goods based on what it should actually be instead of trying to beat the other business by being more expensive.

Just pointing out something that could be corrected. Selecting either of these categories yields different results. A a "problem", simply an observation.

OK BUT that is under "Browse all firearms" not the "Gun Finder
Between the two should have all of them.
