Sunday dinner in South Carolina
I love living in South Carolina. Deer, turkey, and wild boar are frequently on the menu. Put a full rack of ribs on around 7:00 AM...

Just north of Greenville, along the Saluda River. We don't see many around, but these two'd been tearing up the property so we trapped them. Frankly, I wish there were more around here.

No you don't!! Trust me. That BBQ looks REALLY good, some refreshment and a nice S&W to guard it are required, LOL!

This statement, and others like it has me so confused. I've seen photo's of tremendous damage done by these critters, and then the same landowner will complain when his property has not been visited for a long period.
So I guess the DNR Hog Distribution Map is accurate when it shows a small population at Saluda Lake and another at North Saluda Reservoir.
Maybe they'll head down your way on the Swamp Rabbit, the way the bears do. Enjoy your BBQ.

Yeah, but I'd bet the local farmers would disagree!

Now that you mention it, both were shot between the eyes with this purty pistol.

You nailed it! Jesus, the butcher's main man, talked me into some of his Mexican seasoned ground pork...and it's the best taco meat ever.

One of the few things here that you can shoot all year in daylight or dark. It is amazing what they can do in one night. Spawn of the devil!!!

Pigs can out compete native wildlife and don't have any natural predator control except when very small. They need all the control hunters can give them. They can cause lots of damage to farms and ranches as well as native wildlife.

They can get so huge here-that if you are unlucky enough to hit one-driving a small car--it'll kill you. We lost an officer who hit one in his VW Beetle-leaving work on the day he retired.
