Default A New Cartridge?

An item in this morning's Warren Tribune:

"....the policed recovered 9 mm and .20 mm shell casings."

That decimal point before the "2" is the way it was printed. A mighty slim bullet. On the other hand, if it was really 20 mm brass, the gangs in OH are using some heavy artillery.

"Shell casing" is the media's standard term for spent brass and they'll never learn to use "empty cartridge case". They also don't know what a "shell case" is.

I had an Auto Ordnance 1911 that was marked ".10 mm".

I dare say, if police had recovered 20mm shell casings from a shooting crime scene, we would have heard about this outside of Ohio .

Most likely a mutilated reference to .22 brass.
