Default Engravers

First off, I shamelessly stole this from another forum, but I think it is worth sharing. If you have ever dreamed of an exquisitely engraved long gun, this will simply add fuel to the fire.

The pictures leave me breathless...

Look at this one. The fit and finish is so good, its hard to tell where the wood and metal meet...

Thanks for posting that. I bookmarked that link! Incredible work. And scrolling down and down the page, the photography...especially the black and white...is equally stunning. But the engraving...always hard for me to envision that level of craftsmanship as being done by humans.

I often wonder, how does someone learn to do work like that, and how long did it take them to learn?

I like engraving on a gun and the deep relief engraving is a standout for me. The guns shown are tastefully done by some very talented people. Thanks for sharing the link, Larry

It is pretty rare that the engraving is so stunning that I barely notice the wood - spectacular.

Unfortunately, work like that is beyond the means of most of us - unless your name is Bill Gates or Warren Buffett.

Visit the NRA Museum on line, the Peterson exhibit. You can spend hours roaming around there. I would love to visit in person.
