Default Bosch Fans

I love this series on Amazon Prime TV. Read most of Michael Connelly's books on the Bosch detective and am enjoying season 3 which started last week.

But have any of you noticed his change of holsters? In the first two seasons, he wore what I believe to be a Galco leather OWB holster. His sidearm is still a Kimber 1911. But this season he now wears a kydex type OWB holster; not sure what brand but it looks like a RhinoGear style.

Anyone else notice this or know what holster that is?

I noticed the kydex holster, too. Ugly, ain't it?

I also noticed, forget which episode, this latest season, that J Edgar is a lot faster on the draw than I expected.

I started watching the first episode of season one about 6 months ago, but for some reason couldn't get into it. Watched the first 15 minutes or so and just quit.

Then in March, I decided to give it another chance. Wow! Turned out to be an excellent show. I'm only in the middle of season 2 now. I'll watch for the holster change in season 3.

Good series. I actually like certain aspects of it better than the books...in that they don't make him into a cartoonish action hero. I like to have a certain element of believability in a show.

I also greatly enjoy the show, and had been wondering about Bosch's 1911. I thought it might be "artistic license" by the writers/producers to emphasize his old-school character (not a bad way to do that )

But then I did find the Kimbers on this equipment list on the LAPD website. So apparently it's actually legit for a detective to choose to carry one.

A show? I thought this was a post about Bosch power tools. Oh well. I really like my Bosch 6" DA sander.

Anyone know what that new kydex type holster is? They hardly ever show it during this season.

I noticed it was different, but I just can't get over how uncomfortable it must be to sit in a car with that 1911 at 4:00 carry...or is that appendix carry?
Anyway, I do love the show.

A lot closer to his kidney than his appendix.

We love the show too.

Great show, I had to binge watch the third season as soon as it came out.

Great series. We binged watched as well and now have nothing to watch until season four. I have started to read the novels and have rewatched certain episodes from each season. A very good series so far.

But I remember how they screwed up Longmire in Season five and keep hoping they don't fall into that trap for Harry.
