Vodka tonic with a splash of lime. When I was a young cop I answered a call at the local drunk flop house. After the call one of the inhabitants asked me if I liked to drink. At the time I was an oj and vodka guy.
The professional leaned towards me and in all sincerity said, " That's good kid, stick with the white booze, the brown booze will kill ya "

LOL.
I am a gin or vodka and tonic guy.
Never have had a hangover from them. Dark liquors will hurt you the next day.

I have a bottle and will occasionally mix a Crown&7. I've been drifting away from drinks with soda mixers.

I like beer and have tried to like some of the hoppy IPA's, but most of them get to tasting something like grapefruit juice to me.
Not a fan.

I like to make blended drinks on occasion especially in the summer. Last night I blended ice, mango passion fruit juice, fresh squeezed lime and dark Bacardi rum. Not too sweet at all so perfectly refreshing.

Ice cold gin and tonic here too. Sometimes a dash of bitters. Haven't had one since being diagnosed as diabetic. I'm going to try diet tonic water. Have to watch my carbs.

This is one of my favorite beers. Not only in name and taste, but their marketing is funny. You can check it out on their website, but it starts off with: "This is an aggressive beer. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory..."
Seriously, it's a great beer. 7.2%ABV in a 22 oz bottle. They also make a version that is 8.1%ABV that's Bourbon barrel aged. So good.

Beer here, brand is not crtical but cold is. Took my youngest son to Poteau, OK a couple of weeks ago for a quick trip. Decided to grab some beer from the liquor store next to the hotel. Nothing cold (apparently the law in OK) and the only "regular" beer was Pabst Blue Ribbon. Hadn't had it since college days. If anyone wants a case of PBR minus a couple of cans, come get it!

I stick to basics. Bourbon and beer. Any decent bourbon is OK with me. I don't drink the high dollar stuff unless it's free. We finally got Yuengling in Mississippi.

Amsterdam & Ultra
It's the 3 month "Monsoon Season" in my little corner of America.
What's that like?
Hmm, it's like South Florida Humidity and Tornado Alley Storm Season had a baby that was born covered with Lawrence Of Arabia Dust.
Did I mention I hate it?
LOL. Oh well, 9 out of 12 months ain't bad
C'mon October!
Going pretty straight forward tonite, a belt of Amsterdam and an Ultra. Ah, life is good. Cheers Boyz.....and Ladies.

I have an occasional alcoholic drink, but I long ago learned that I am better off without alcohol. Here is my drink of choice, preferably on the rocks!

Watch the sodium levels in tonic - both regular and diet.

A friend of mine once told me that "I've done everything drunk I needed to do in my past"........had to agree when I need to go on a diet.

My normally teetotalng dad kept a bottle of Crown Royal at home for medicinal purposes (really). Since he passed, I have a shot at the VFW on Father's Day, Pop's birthday, and the day he passed.
The bags are great. A lot of people get a charge out of seeing me pulling my golden dollars coins out of the Crown Royal bag I carry. Last week I bought a gun at the gun show and to pay cash I gave the seller a pile of golden dollar coins to his surprise. He then asked me for the bag so he could carry the dollar coins home.

I drink more water than anything else bet since it's Saturday night I'm living it up with some throw back Pepsi.
Having said that, I'm a long term friend of Bill's and haven't had an alcoholic drink in 36 years. When I did drink, Jack Daniels was my drink of choice. The funny thing is all this time I thought Jack Daniels was a kind of Bourbon. It wasn't until recently that my wife informed me that it is a Tennessee Whiskey because of the way it's filtered

Sipped a Knob Creek Single Barrl Reserve before, during, and after steaks done just right on the Traeger. For beer I prefer the dark stouts made by some of the local breweries. Ocassionally ejyoy a Bulleit Rye for a change up in experience.

Danish Manhattan: New 5gal bucket with lid. 1 case Muscatel wine (hard to find), 1-1.75 Bacardi Light Rum, 1-1.75 Tangerey (sp?) Gin, the juice from a jar of maraschino cherries, some bitters, not much. Stir and cover for 90 days (no time off for good behavior), 90 days. Repackage it in a decanter (or those wine bottles) and refrigerate a day or so before serving. Good after-dinner drink (like a port).
Remember: Moderation.
Muscatel: I wet my own whistle and went looking for Muscatel (the cheap, fortified, 19% type), not found.

Well it's 0200 here in Abilene TX, so it's about 1700 in Tokyo Japan. I'm having a Shiner Bock; my 1st of the day & I may have 1 more after I finish another load of laundry. 20 years of working mids has really screwed me up....
