shouldazagged is up for parole.
I am almost giddy at the good news Mike just gave me:
He is cleared to leave tomorrow, the cardioversion was successful and his legs and feet have returned to their normal size. His heart is not working at full capacity but he is out of AFib and breathing much better.
The Visiting Nurses Association of Kentucky is going to provide weekly home health care at no cost to Mike. Another group, through the hospital, is going to come in and do his housekeeping at a very small price.
Mike feels much better and, although sore and tired, he is in great spirits and is much relieved knowing that he will have help at home. His 'kaleidoscopic' wit has returned and he looks to again share it with his forum friends as he misses you (and Moose).
And again, he offers heartfelt thanks to you all.

Thanks Rusty for sharing the good news about Mike!! He is going to really come to enjoy and appreciate the home health care folks. My mom spent the last 4 years of her life flat on her back unable to move any thing but her eyes. She was unable to swallow and was fed through a tube inserted surgically into her stomach.
Dad was able to take good care of her because of these folks. They are a special breed of kind, patient, caring and loving nurses and never balk at taking the occasional extra step.
My spirits are lifted to know that he will have their services. They will be able to comfort him and reassure him and he will have the utmost confidence in his ability to live a mostly normal life. If and when ANYthing should come up they are ready and will respond 24/7.
I wish we could have a welcome back party to show him how much we missed him......
