Default Sick × 5

Brevard County Florida .5 teens watched and mocked a young black male drown. None came to his aid all mocked him . This is be on words. No one called 911 either. Sad to say I spent 50 years in that county. And many as volunteer E M T 1977 threw 1991 this is beyond words. The mayor is looking to press charges. But really don't know if that would fly. You can't teach human morals

Sad to say that with the "fan fare" they got and what appears to be lack of charges, I cringe at more of these situations ahead as additional morally bankrupt knuckleheads grab their 15 min of "fame".

I'm certain these "teens"will someday reproduce and the cycle of life without a moral compass, without integrity, most likely will continue. Proven time and time again, "The Child is Father of the Man".

The Rainbow

MY heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began;
So is it now I am a man;
So be it when I shall grow old,
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man;
I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety

Their time will come...may not be tomorrow or for years to come and they will wonder what they did to deserve it.

Makes me think of when I was doing some physical therapy at an indoor pool.
There was a fellow with cerebral palsy in the far end of the pool. I was keeping an eye on him.
Good thing too. He went under and I ran over, pulled him up and sat him on the steps. He coughed, sputtered and thanked me.
Nobody else did anything to help, including the instructor.
What would've happened if I wasn't there?

People can slip under and be gone in a heartbeat.
If one is not aware they won't see a thing.
These pieces of chunks... words fail me.
I'd love to see a cinder block and proper length of rope just long
enough for their nose to clear the surface put to good use.

Yes, you can teach moral behavior. Problem is, as a society we've stopped. We were warned of a time when right is considered wrong and wrong considered right and I think we are there.

Default It said that they MIGHT face charges....

Ok, they figure something out to charge them with. What then? Who's going to convict somebody when the defense is that they couldn't swim or were 'immobilized' or 'shocked'. Try to get agreement from a jury that they were criminal in inaction.

Good for you snubbyfan...thankful you were there...BUT...did anyone report the instructor's lack of action to his superior? I can only hope so...no excuse for the instructor not helping the man!

These rodents filmed it too. Authorities are trying to find something to charge them with but likely won't happen. I'm quit while I'm ahead. Joe

I think that they should post their full names, address's, and photos and let the community handle it (with impunity).

Some of the posted replies to the Yahoo online news article were certainly feisty(?)
