Default A Surprising Roadster.

When forum member kwselke started the thread "The British are Coming!" about British roadsters, I tacked on these photos of open roadsters (British Union Jack emblem on the side of one of them) I'd taken, hoping the automotive brain trust here could ID them. Seems you guys were stumped also.

After a few tries at Google, looking for a motorcycle engine in a kit car (because of the boxer motor), I found it, and it's based on a car I used to have. It's a British kit car called a Lomax 224 (2cyl-2 seat-4 wheels) that's built on the French Citroen 2CV like I used to drive (observant of me ).

That 2CV was the most fun car I've had, and an open roadster version must be a hoot to drive.

That's one I certainly didn't recognize!
Many years ago the first time I ever went to England -
I saw a number of small roadsters that I didn't recognize.
The turned out to be the Lotus 7 Kit Car.
