Well, then, you
definitely don't want to come down here and get on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a scenic highway that runs from somewhere in Virginia (if I remember correctly) all the way across North Carolina into Tennessee. It's a beautiful and leisurely drive, and (again, if I remember correctly) the posted speed limit is 45 for most of it.
The National Park Service administers the Parkway. They tolerate little or no B.S. on the Parkway. You do not want to get caught speeding. Or littering.
A great thing about the Parkway, though, is that there are
lots of scenic overlooks, and people do take advantage of them.
