NE Ohio Bunch Fall Meeting 2017--Pictures up--
Yep, it's time to start another thread for the group. August will pass fast as usual. Saturday September 23rd from 9am till 3pm. It will be at the North Olmsted Sportsmen club at 5743 Bradley rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
Admission is 5.00 per person and BRING a PLATE of FOOD to share. Enough for 10-15 people. Bring a main dish, side dish or desert. I will have all the plates, plastic ware, napkins and cups. Leave your diet at home, eat like never before. The club has full cooking facilities like stove, oven, grill and microwave if you need to cook or warm something.
Hope you all spent money on something new to display. Bring your favorite S&W's to display. You can bring items to sell like boxes, grips, etc or guns. Don't forget the people here are great, good conversation is everywhere.
Will need help setting up and cleaning up when done and keeping the kitchen organized. May do T-shirts again for the last time, stay tuned. I'll add things as my memory permits.
You can carry a concealed weapon but need to unload it before showing it to someone. There is a shelf on the wall with a bullet proof backboard to unload the gun at. SEE ME, club rules.
Will be glad to everyone again. This is the 8th year we meet. Larry

If you are anywhere within a 2-3 hour drive you ought to try to make it.....great S&Ws, good food and nice folks!!!!!!
IIRC folks have come from as far away ; as Eastern Pa and Mass.

Just won a 5" Illinois State Police gun from '57 that I will get next week. It has the original box and most of the items that come in the box. I'll have it on display in September with the other one found yrs ago. I'll get a letter for it also. Larry

I hear that a 5 inch one balances well in the hand..................
but I wouldn't brag about having one!.
Always thought it would be cool to have an 8 3/4 inch ...... but had to settle for a really really nice 6 1/2 inch!!!!!!
Think it's time to show it off again at the next "Gathering"
My N-frame Registered Magnum....... what did you think I was talking about!!!!

Glad Ron chimed in and is gonna make it. Anyone have an idea what they will display? I may do hard to find model 14's. Will have 4 of them if the one from GB ever makes it. It's lost in Minnesota but still being tracked from Texas. Not sure I want to letter it yet. Larry

I will try and make this one! Glad it is a little earlier than usual - I usually run into 2 conflicts with the fall show (my daughters birthday, and deer season) and this date misses all that!

Hope you make it Kris, you always have some neat guns. Would like to see the 22/40. Bill, too bad. We'll miss your conversations and displays.
Denny, we have 3 more Tuesday morning shoots then the range closes to be rebuilt. We will try to do something toward the rebuilding on Tuesday mornings in September.
Got the 5" pre 14 Illinois police gun, looks to be unfired. Sweet, Larry

It's not Penny and I Larry, but the son and his soon to be bride of a couple who attend our church.
By the way, Penny's mom, who was 93, passed away on Aug. 10th. Penny had been living with her on the farm since January to take care of her. She was a feisty lady and a WWII bride.
Margaret (Peggy) Steele, (93)
Margaret Steele, 93, of Homerville died August 10th, 2017.
Margaret was born at the University College Hospital, St Pancras, Great Britain, June 15, 1924 to Maude (Mowlds) and Arthur O’Neill of Dublin Ireland, who preceded her in death. Margaret was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Howard Steele, son Eric Michael Steele, daughter Valerie (David) Steele-Schmidtz, sister Maudie and brothers Archie and Johnny O’Neill.
She is survived by two sons; Ralph (Teresa) Steele of Sullivan and Randolph (Lisa) Steele of Polk, three daughters; Gloria Recuperio of Bedford Heights, and Penelope Steele of Mansfield, three grandsons; James Recuperio, Michael and Jonathan Steele, four granddaughters; Christina Kosht, Melissa Kosht, Brooke Steele, and Elizabeth Steele, and four step-grand-daughters; Sarah (Logan) Moore, Heather (Matthew) Marshall, Meridith (Jeffrey) Hall, and Michelle (Timothy) Williams and 13 great-grandchildren.

I've been thinking about adjustable sight K frames, or 9mm metal semi autos. Food, I'm not sure, probably sausage in Catalina sauce, plate's been empty when I'm ready to go. Sell, maybe a model 28 or a 3913, maybe a few watches, badges or knives. Buy, I'd like a 38/44 HD shooter, or any fixed sight N frame, maybe look for a 13 too.

Sausage in Catalina sauce, I'm drooling on the IPad. It was good.
Roger, see you at the back gate as usual. Will have an unfired 9mm S&W Shield for sale in the dark earth color with the box. Buy the box and I'll give you the gun. Also a Bauer .25 auto, it's an estate gun. Not shot much.
Bill, good to see you today, Larry

I'm really looking forward to the 23rd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The "what is your end game" thread is making me wonder if I should bring some stuff for "Show and Sell"! As George Carlin use to say .......I've got too much "Stuff"!!!!!!!
Cheese Cake has been popular the last couple of "Bunchings"

Probably display my semi-custom Smith revolvers so Larry can visit them LOL. Probably have a couple of Smith revolvers to sell. I'll have some other stuff for sale like prop rods, etc. If anyone is in need of some good Pistol rugs, please let me know. I have a quantity of Bag Master Suede rugs in various sizes for sale. I'm getting ready to put them on one of the auction sites and would rather sell them to someone from the group. These are premium rugs that are guaranteed for life. We'll probably bring a Sandwich tray which always goes fast.

I've been doing "what is your end game" for the past couple years. Longarms and handguns that I previously wanted/needed and after acquiring them finding out that the original want/need should have never existed.

Larry,
I'm sure it'll be another success! If you do t-shirts, let me know. I'll get one, maybe 2. It'll take some coordination with the wife.
Denny,
Take lots of pics for me please!
Have fun everybody!
I'll see you at the spring gathering!
Bob

Hey Bob, hope times a flying for you. The spring Bunch will be a welcome home party for you!!! We will miss the MULE this fall. No T shirts, wasn't prepared this time. Thanks for the bumps Jack. Almost September 1st which means we're closer.
I see the Philadelphia group is gone, tough to get a group going. Larry

I've decided to bring my Model 14-2 to sell. Six inch barrel with target trigger and target hammer. If anyone in the group is loooking for one let me know. It's the one I displayed at the last get together. It's a great shooter!

My friend Bob M. and myself plan to attend from the Youngstown, OH area. We attended the Spring gathering and had a wonderful time.

Ran into one of the NOSC at my local range this morning and we invited him to the upcoming get together. I've been telling anyone that I think would be a good addition to our group.
