Board
Meaning forum I know this is The Smith & Wesson forum. This is my only firearm forum I am a active member at. For me I think it stands at 100% . I see no real need to be a member of any other board. I do sometimes look at some of the deffensive seniros at a board but its rare. Any one else use another board ?

Certainly . Several. Some are more specific to certain other brands and you can get better collector data on military arms at other boards.
However, The Lounge here offers a general discussion forum not present on most other boards.

I get on the Ruger and the Winchester boards occasionally, and once in a while an M1A board, but I'm here daily, even if I'm only lurking.....

I'm on Sigtalk and the Ruger forum, but I only joined those after I had issues with guns and I thought they could help out.

I belong to Rimfire Central, 1911 Forum, Colt forum, Ruger forum and the rudest of all gun forums- PAFOA forum. I frequent this forum far more than any of the others.

Some here seem unaware that there are TWO Ruger boards. Dot Net and Dot Com. There may be others. These two, I know about and use.

I frequent other forums, for sure.
This is my favorite, though.
If I'm looking for specific info on a Ruger, Sig, etc., that's where I'll go first.
I have to say that I've recieved more and better info on other manufacturers here at times.

I belong to others .This is the most civilized, most of the posters will give the straight scoop on questions and help with problems and informative on many firearms ,or directing s to the right place to get answers.

I have another forum local to my state that I spend most of my time on. I like it a lot because I've had the opportunity to meet quite a few of the members in person and they're a solid bunch of guys. Have bought things, sold things, gone shooting, had breakfasts and lunches, etc.
Being able to put a face and a handshake to a forum name is kind of nice. In fact, the FFL I use is a guy I met on the forums. Met him a few times before he got his FFL or opened his store. He's a good guy and I try to give him as much of my business as I can and typically steer others his way.
I do enjoy the wealth of S&W specific knowledge that can be gained here. And generally I find most of you rather congenial. The moderators here run a tight ship.

I joined the 1911 forum (les.b there also), but I have only posted about 4 or 5 times. This is the most collegial forum that I have ever visited. The breadth of knowledge and experience here is really impressive. I see many of you on other forums occasionally, as I might drop in on one with a specific item in mind that I'm researching, but I'm here almost every day.
And after all, even though I have other firearms, I am mainly interested in S&Ws, and I feel at home here.

This is by far my favorite forum, I sometimes drop in on the 1911 forum and the Ruger forum but I always come here to get info, maybe a laugh or two and to find out who has worse medical problems than me,LOL. I have become online friends with many fine folks here.
