worst TV shows of all time?
My first two picks are "Wonder Woman" ( Wouldn't have made it to the second episode except for Lynda Carter.
Second place goes to "The A Team" I don't think any explanation is needed for that. If you haven't seen it, don't !!

"The A Team" was supposed to be somewhat stupid, but entertaining. It wasn't one of my favorites, but I didn't hate it. I actually still use a line from it quite a bit: "I love it when a plan comes together!"
I nominate "Alf"!

Many terrible shows, but of the current crop of crud would have to be "Alaskan Bush People". It's bad enough at face value, but read the real back story on them and you want to start throat punching people.

Did you know Lynda Carter once said she got the job as "Wonder Woman" because of her acting ability and not her impressive attributes.

Very Special Episodes
The "Very Special Episodes" of "Roseanne". They turned what had been a decent comedy series into a grotesque melodramatic imitation of a daytime soap opera. They were simply unwatchable. They were so bad, I think they also brought about the end to the use of the term "Very Special Episode".
Update: It's being resuscitated for 2018.

These tv people just can't come up with anything new and decent can they?
Really shows the idiocy level of some of the people who watch and enjoy some of this ****!

Major network news, well short of actual news, and more entertainment stories with the players/announcers going for the giggle, laughter, and personal opinion.

Amos and Andy
Taxi
I'd really like to see a good western series
Political Correctness more than bad writing/casting killed the small screen

The late 1980s CBS TV series "Beauty and the Beast" with Linda Hamilton. It was fairly popular at the time, but that's the one I always associate with being the worst-ever series. At least for me, it was a form of painful torture to even attempt watching it.

Think I got all of these beat. How about "Its About Time" with Imogene Cocoa. Did not last long. Worst comedy show ever in my book. Show was about 2 astronauts that go back in time to the cave man days.

Remember the 2007 ABC sitcom "Cavemen"? It was based on the GEICO Cavemen commercials (that was a first), and I think it might have lasted maybe three or four episodes. A sort-of plotline about some cavemen living in a present-day large American city. It was at least as horrible as Imogene Cocoa's show.

"Married With Children" was altogether repulsive.
But for sheer appalling, sewage-sucking, repellent stupidity, I don't see anyone beating out "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette".
(Dishonorable mention to "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo".)

Dating myself a little here, but...
CHiPs
Space 1999
Battlestar Galactica (the original)
All great when I was a lad, but did't make it beyond episode 1 on Netflix.
And, yes, I agree with all listed "modern-day" garbage listed so far.

I liked the "home buyers-home fixers" shows better before they coached all of the "contestants" to say "Oh Wow!" every time they turned the corner, and to insist on "granite and stainless" even in a bus station toilet!

Banacek. Every case was solved using information gathered off scene. Pathetic.
The Brady Bunch. So sickly sweet it could rot your teeth from across the room.
Any reality show.

Anyone remember "The Montefuscos"? After a big buildup, it was yanked off the air by NBC after 7 or 8 episodes in 1975. It was really bad.

I think it was both, given the role.
Probably true of Irish McCalla, too, as the original Sheena, Queen of the Jungle.
I soon gave up watching the current Wonder Woman, if that's still on. Too PC.
But I would like to see a good new jungle show. Probably can't make one now, though. Too many PC requirements.
I seldom watch sitcoms. Most are awful.
Reality TV isn't usually much good, but I miss Denise Richards's show. I'd watch Denise if she just sat there and read the newspaper and waved to me occasionally.

Space 1999, terrible....one scene that tells you all its problems. Martin landau lands on the enemy base, wanders around for 2/3rds the show, plants a bomb on the aliens reactor, turns, looks at his companions and says " let's find a way out of here...".
No, Martin, you find the way out THEN plant the bomb...

She had to be one of the greatest actresses of the day, just to delivery some of those lines without collapsing into uncontrollable fits of laughter!

Who liked "Partners in Crime" best pair on TV, Loni Anderson wasn't bad either.

Not too many years ago tv was really bad, not to be outdone, producers today have made it pathetic.

It usually only takes seconds to evaluate a lousy show and change the channel or turn off the TV, but when kids are enthralled with a show, then your stuck.
It was not the worst show, but while it was popular, the seemingly omnipresent sound of Barney's voice on "Barney and Friends" became annoying.

My first thought regarding the worst TV show of all time was a nomination for "The View". However, and in fairness to such garbage, there are and have been a cumulative total of at least a few hundred worthless IQ-reducing TV spectacles that are tied with "The View" for lowest of the low.

Ha!! Very good Rusty. I got a TV directory that lists prime time television series. This nonsense one first aired in 1966.

I remember my big brother looking at me, singing "it's about time I smacked your face"... then WHAP!

Married With Children was so bad it remained on the air for only eleven years.

And most important: "I love the open floor plan!" or "I want an open floor plan."
Virtually every episode of those shows (my wife watches them, I don't) is required by law to have at least one mention of an "open floor plan."
