What's the dumbest Stallone movie of all time?
I'm leaning towards "Cobra". Stallone plays a real cool detective who, if memory serves me, carried what looked like a Safari Arms 1911 and drives a chopped Mercury (so far so good). But here's the "plot". Brigitte Neilson witnesses a murder on a dark street at night by a ninja type death cult. So they have to silence her. While Stallone protects her these killers then proceed to kill dozens of other people in broad daylight in front of tons of other witnesses in order to get to her. No concern about those crimes being witnessed.
What tops your list as the lamest Stallone movie? I didn't mention Death Race 2000 because it was intentionally stupid.

How could you ever forget "Stop, or my Mom Will Shoot!" . . . ? Or "Rhinestone" ? Or "Oscar" ? ? ?

Interesting question. There is a considerable list of candidates for this honor. I kind of go along with the OP on Cobra. Wasn't it Stalone that was with Dolly Parton in a little stinker called Rhinestone Cowboy? The movie Daylight was pretty lame. And all those movies staring a hoard of action figures doing some lame rescue mission or other were a lot of cool talk, some humor, lots of fightin' and shootin' and explosions, but woefully lacking in anything like an interesting story. But in his defense he has had some that I thought were good. Night Hawks with Rutgar Hower and Billy Dee Willaimas and the actress who played the 6 Million Dollar Woman on tv and Persis Kambata who played the bald headed darke eyed beauty in the Star Trek movie Voyager, I think. Lots of energy and suspense and action.
The first 8 or 10 Rocky and Rambo movies were okay but eventually grew tiresome.
In all fairness I think that most actors that have made a lot of movies have a mixed bag of hits and misses

The only movie he made that I liked (and that I actually paid money to see at a movie theater ) is the first Rocky.
Other than that, I have seen some on TV, most of the Rambos, but haven't really enjoyed any of them. Really has nothing to do with the anti-gun stuff-I just don't like him.

He never seems to make a good movie unless his shirt is off - LOL! Other than the first Rocky and the first Rambo, they are all stinkers IMO.

It may have been a better movie if they had had him inhale the nitros instead of putting it in the motor.

Teri Hatcher made that one very bearable. That's before she went for the anorexic look. Kurt russell in drag? Uh, no thanks. (Saying that out loud here in CA. is probably a hate crime).
"First Blood" is an excellent movie. then they he got super human stupid in the following Rambo movies.

Didn't he also do "Judge Dredd"?
...but I agree with others who've already said the first Rocky and Rambo were good... everything else was garbage.

Has anyone else seen his very first one, 1970's "Italian Stallion"? I won't give a plotline for obvious reasons. You can look it up. I saw it sometime back in the 1970s.

Oh, come on. What could possibly be wrong with a buddy-cop-thriller full of explosions, car chases, car crashes, lots of guns, shooting, cool gunplay, and bad guys? Not to mention the hip dialogue.
Except for the cars, modern guns, and explosions, it's kinda like Tombstone, isn't it?

Just saw about 10 minutes of Expendables 2.
It's firmly positioned in the double digit IQ zone!

John Spartan, you are fined three credits for violating the uniform non profanity statute.
Worst Stallone movie, and a terrible excuse for cinema; Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot. Judge Dredd and Rambo III are runner ups.

Just an FYI for anyone that didn't know. Rambo had an alternative ending which matched the book. It's on YouTube. Preferred that ending.

He's never been in anything I would call a good movie, but some are entertaining and worth watching once. "Cobra" was such a horrible movie, it's worth watching for that reason alone.

That was the one with the "AWSUM 50" Mercury? And that blonde he was married to for a short time? I don't remember her name. Yeah, it was so bad it was sort of good.

What was the last movie you liked at all?????
Rocky & First Blood were good IMHO.

I did too. He actually played a likeable, sad guy and got to do a little acting. Harvey Keitel was suitably evil, of course.
Never could stomach more than five minutes of anything else Stallone did.
I'm waiting for the reviews of "Rocky 28: The Metamucil Years".

Apparently I'm not....
Apparently I'm not a big Stallone fan. I wasn't a 'Rambo' fan. i did like 'Rocky' but I see he made about 100 movies I didn't watch. I did see 'Cliffhanger' and I don't remember it being bad, or good for that matter. "F.I.S.T.' was the same
He had an early role in "The Lords of Flatbush' that I wasn't crazy about either.
I think I would like "The Expendables".

Two words: Judge Dredd!!! That is his worst movie of his career.
Stallone has done some good work though; Rocky, Creed, Rambo, Cop Land, and others.
It's one thing not to like the guy but something altogether different to imply that all his work is garbage. Sure, he isn't the best actor out there, but neither are most of them.

You know, I use to think that too.....and still do...but when I see the amount of money each movie has brought in in world wide sales and with no signs of slowing down. Well.....how do I sign up for that!!!!!!

Yes! There was also one where he was a vulcanologist or earthquake scientists or something and gets stuck in a tunnel with people he has to rescue! Bleh!

I can't accurately tell you which one is the worse.
For one thing, I have never actually watched an entire Stallone flick.
Probably have seen more of Rocky than any other.
The other night I was channel surfing when I saw about 15 minutes of Exp 2.
That's 15 minutes down the ******* that I'll never get back!

Yeah, probably Over the Top.
I did like Cobra for the Commander (not the grips of course) and the Mercury as well as the other hardware in the movie.
