Very sad. He made millions of people laugh for decades, including me. I went to theaters over and over to watch films like Visit to a Small Planet, The Bellboy, Cinderfella, and of course, The Nutty Professor.

There'll never be another like him, that's for sure.

R.I.P., Jerry Lewis.

Default I read the news today....

Very long career, almost a folk hero in France....best moment IMHO was when Frank Sinatra re-introduced him to Dean Martin on live television...twenty years after their break-up as a comedy team. And he sometimes even got the girl in his films! Stella Stevens for one...Goodbye to one of the last 1950's comedy stars. Hope he and Dino are sharing a drink with old Frank.

WOW! Jerry was one of biggest stars ever. There aren't a whole lot left of that era of celebrity actors left now.

Antonio Benadetta aka Tony Bennett is still here thankfully.

R.I.P. Jerry...thanks for all the laughs.

I just watched "Way Way Out" on either Netflix or Hulu a couple of weeks ago. I had never seen it before, and definitely not one of his better movies, but it made me think of him and what he was up to.

Strangely (?) I was talking to a friend around 9 a.m. this morning
about old movies and his name came up with us wondering
how old he was.

My friend loved his comedy movies and I liked him as a
dramatic actor.

RIP, Jerry. You were a funny guy. Brought me many laughs when I was a youngster.

If TCM stays true to form, it'll offer a full day of his films.

Default Jerry Lewis Dead at 91

Although I never cared for him or his comedy, he did a world of good for Muscular Dystrophy.

Jerry Lewis Deat at 91

Question

Sorry to hear of his passing. Truthfully, I never thought he was funny.

Not a fan, but he was a great man. His charity work will be his greatest legacy - except maybe in France.
