Default Tyler T Grip

Has anyone had any dealings with Tyler T Grip Co. since their past issues were supposedly resolved. Good and bad feed back welcomed.

Thanks

I ordered a silver T-grip from them about a year ago. They took a while since it was out of stock and they're not "techy" by any means. You have to print the form & send a check, MO etc. via snail mail. Email? what's that? So I just called him after about two weeks to ensure they got the order. They told me as soon as they had the silver K frame versions in stock, it would be shipped. It was about a month total. Not terrible.

I ordered a black one several years ago and it was about 2 weeks. Again; it's all snail mail both directions.

If you do a search, you'll find quite a few threads asking the same question.

The general consensus tends to be the same: it can take time, but ultimately, everybody gets their adapter. Just don't be in a hurry. It's a much smaller operation than the professional website would lead you to believe, so if you need an uncommon size, be prepared to wait.

If you are looking for a common size, and don't want to wait, check the secondary market, such as Gunbroker. There are usually some "new in the packaging" for sale.

You'll get it. Eventually. And they're not bad to deal with, but they are a tiny operation and not tech savvy. Just imagine you're ordering out of a catalog in the 1960s and not using modern next-day shipping from Amazon, and you'll be fine.

There are a lot on the secondary market. I just sold a couple of used ones for about the same price as a new one, I imagine it was because people don't want to wait.

You can usually get a used one faster than you can get a new one.

I'm sure I'm the only one who feels this way BUT. I love these folks and the way they do business. I've been dealing with them for about 40 years. They operate today just like they did then. I do miss the grips Melvin used to make. They were linen micarta and aged to an orangey color. I have now over 20 guns with T Grips and service stocks/grips. They just fit my hand.

Relax. Some day they will arrive. They will look great on your Roscoe, and feel even better. Of course, you might have to put the order confirmation in your will.

There's a seller on GunsAmerica that usually has some in stock. Don't know if Tyler has a stocking dealer program or if this guy just buys a bunch at a time to resell, but there's no big mark-up.

I ordered a few T-grips from them several months ago. No problems, it took 2-3 weeks from putting the order in the mailbox (!), to receiving them.

Of course, the manufacturer is about 40 miles from me, I suppose I could have driven over there, but the mail is cheaper.

Default T grip

I hate to say that I have had my first bad experience with Tyler. I have ordered several T grips direct from the company in the past ,I have never had a problem. Around 3 months ago I ordered a n frame gloss blue T grip and the usual wait time 2 weeks it arrived. It was pitted and finish peeling off. I took several pics of it on my pistol to show the obvious peeling and pitting and sent those to tyler t grip via email. After 14 days and no communication I wrote a nice letter and returned the t grip with request for a new one. After 2 more weeks and no contact I finally sent a email basically asking why all my communications are ignored and I still haven't received a replacement t grip.I had no choice but to post my experience on the forums to warn others that the previous bad business practices his company was inflicting on potential customers has returned. Then and only then did the t grip owner respond back with simply he could not find my t grip I returned. Then no further contact. Emails ignored.. I guess its a $34 lesson learned.. It seems that tyler is distributing his T grips through Robertsons Trading Company at $49 each now.
