This morning at 8AM it was 65 ddeg. F with a cloudless azure blue sky and a gentile north breeze. Absolutely delicious! We had coffee and cereal out on the deck. The squirrels, birds, hummin' birds and feral cats were just a rompin' and a stompin' feelin' very frisky.
Ummm Qball, If I ever come to Sweden for a visit remind me NOT to come in the colder months. I'd never survive an hour in any weather like that. I grew up in heat and humidity and skeeters. It's all I've ever known except for my two months at the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan as part of the medical support team for the Marines foull weather training. That was a good enough taste to last me forever and let me know full well my limitations.

Been averaging 10-12 degrees above normal here for 3 weeks. Had high 70's to low 80's far too much. After a very high precip total spring thru early summer, then right to very low precip late summer, we are finally getting a little rain.
My favorite weather this time of year is high 30's-low 40's overnight and 50's-mid 60's days, we have not had that yet. I think we've only had one light frost so far.

Little cool front blew onto the island yesterday.
About 70 degrees this am and it flattened out the Gulf abit.
Warn again by the weekend.

Xfuzz, forget exactly where you're at, just recall Harvey heading your way.
Have to ask, is your Weber still standing amongst the pilings?
I like that view you have and by the way... a bit late but hope you had a Happy Birthday.

I can tell it is Fall here in Centex. I don't have to run the air conditioning in the car on the morning drive to work. The drive home is another story. We have had mornings here down in the 50s a few times but it is still back up to the 70s and 80s in the afternoon and evenings.

Our weather has been fluctuating. One day 8" of snow in the Sierras then a couple days later back up to high 90's. This last week was perfect in the 70's.
Fall colors are starting...

...How's Your Fall Weather Going?...
The backyard shooting range is just starting to show some color. It’s been warm here overall - even too warm to deer hunt (hard for me to cope with ).

Unseasonably hot in Alabama. Very humid as well. The mosquito population is thriving as are the fire ants. Looks like cooler and drier for the coming week thank goodness.

We're starting to hit the 30's now. Colors are changing==about 2 weeks earlier than normal. Taking a mini-vacation down into eastern Oregon.
Had our annual Salmon Festival at the hatchery 2 weeks ago==best weather I've seen in the dozen or so years I've worked out there!

...and it's almost Halloween fer goodness sake!
I come alive in cooler weather. Especially these days with a little age and weight on me. I've lost a bunch of weight since my heart surgery and I'm doing the cardio exercises but I really want to keep losing weight and getting in shape so I won't suffer quite so badly in hot weather. It looks like we are going to have plenty of that in the coming years.

Still temperatures in the low to mid 90s with mid 70s dew points.
In other words October is running the same as June, July, August (except without the afternoon showers) and September.

In my younger days I would be in Marshfield "Humarock" on a small jetty catching schoolies or maybe a biggie.

A little over three weeks ago we were flirting with upper 90's, but the past few weeks it's been unseasonably wet and cool. Woke up with about an inch of snow on Tuesday morning. Today upper 60's. More and more ducks staring to show up and the deer are rubbing the saplings and making scraps. its fall and its time to hunt!

Still pretty warm here in NW Florida. 92 right now, the wife and I went to the beach for a little while this afternoon, nice breeze and lots of sunshine. A little cool weather would be a welcome change.

Yes, almost Oct 20th in central FL and we've had a record high week, 92-94F each day, during a record high summer of a record high year. And no afternoon rains anymore to cool things down a little. I think I'm moving north if it doesn't cool down in November.

We've had some snow but not nearly enough. The last two years have been dry with very little snow.
This is my winter job, grooming snowmobile trails. We generally don't start grooming until Jan 1st and our season is done the end of March.
Last winter we never ever fired up the cat.
Its a great job. 2-3 nights a week and about 13-14 hrs each shift to groom about 60 miles.
Right now there's only about 15" at 10,500 ft.
The picture and video are from January 2016.

NW Arkansas, 19 Oct. Cold 51 degrees, rainy, gloomy, all day. I don't
mind the 51 degrees but would like some sunny days.

Fall fell....
Fall fell here yesterday and what a relief. I looked at the 10 day forecast and it might be here to stay. But most likely we'll have a heat wave around Thanksgiving.

Dropped down to 37 degrees last night Yep it’s fall all of a sudden.
Nice day in the 60’s today.
Instead of getting the motorhome ready to go south for two weeks, spent the day winterizing it and putting it away!
