Update on my "fortress of solitude"
I recently fisnished refinishing an old desk my grandfather built back in 1950. (first pic) Also did a bit of tightening up in a few places. I also got permission from she who must be obeyed to get rid of the daybed that I've had to keep in there.
All this inspired me to rearrange the entire room. I apologize for the awful pics but hopefully you can get the general idea. I'm glad I got these pics because it will never look this neat and orderly again.

I don't Know if you are familiar with BillyStyx or not. He is in Gainesville Florida. He makes all his rods by hand and he is very well known in fishing circles. He makes "Spiral wrapped" rods. The line guides are actually wrapped around the rod instead of being in a straight line. They are crazy good mounted with Shimano CXurados Those are my wade fishing rods. I have a couple of Ugly Stix with Ambassador 5000s on em for pier fishing. Only one off shore rig left. It's a Penn Senator 114H on a Penn Special Senator boat rod with roller line guides. then I have an assortment of Castaways and I think I have a couple of old Gary Loomis rods somewhere.
Sadly they don't get wet too much any more.
