Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful dads! I lost my dad when I was 6 years old. But, I have had a step-father for 48 years. He has been a good guy. Love him like a father now.
Larry

Thanks Larry. I am currently raising three grandkids and I am the only "dad" they know.
Between baseball and cooking out, they will be my beer bearers.
It will be lovely.

Any man can be a father, it's biological.
I'll raise my glass to the men who step up like Rusty, Boykin's step-dad and the rest of the men who wouldn't turn away.

My Dad passed five years ago.
A few days ago a cousin called me and told me to look at his house on Google Street View.
And there he stood obviously looking hard at the photo vehicle with all the doo-dads on the roof.
Cried like a kid and am about to now.
Happy Father's Day to all and cherish them while you have them.
Regards JD

One daughter in New Mexico and one lives in LA. Both flew in this week for Fathers Day. Going to sons house for BBQ Brisket and a swim in his pool, probably be an adult beverage too. Great kids, they have all made us proud.

I loved my Dad and my Stepdad, and I miss them both. They both were members of The Greatest Generation And, they both served in WW II.

My response to "Happy Father's Day."
As many of you know, My Father died when I was almost 10 years old, some 65 years ago this August. I grew up jealous of guys that had a Dad, and then called them "my old man." It still makes my blood pressure rise. :-)
But, I have so much to be thankful for. A lovely and beautiful wife that bore us two of the most beautiful daughters a man could have. They have families of their own now and both live fairly close by, and they call me Dad. I proudly wear that title.
We text each other a lot, and I always end with: "I love you, Dad."
One day I will see both my heavenly and earthly Father, and can tell them "Dad, I love you."
Have a blessed day,
Leon

I was lucky to know one great grandfather, both my grandfathers and my dad. Thanks to good genes and good living I had Pop for 63 years. Pop became a deacon or elder in a small church in Ohio and really helped it survive as a congregation through his financial advice. The congregation appreciated what he did, and the church was very good to him in his later days. I look a lot like him, so whenever I go back to that town and go to that church I make sure to sit where he usually sat to remind the congregation of him.

Happy Fathers Day to all.
I'm going to lunch with my daughter and the we are going to the gun range. She has lately show interest in shooting lately so today is the day. Not coincidentally she likes a guy that is also into shooting so I suspect an ulterior motive, at least partially. Going to let her try out my K22 and also my Mod 63.
I suppose afterwards we'll visit the cemetery and then my Mom.
Outside of not having my father for Fathers Day for the first time it should be a good day.

Happy Father's day to all my brother dads. My own passed in 2010 at 78 years young, and I think about him practically every day in the form of something he told me, or did, or affected in the way I look at life. I have two grown kids of my own living far from North Carolina who, I hope, will be able to do the same when I'm not around anymore -- and who, I also hope, have a thought of me now and then while I'm still here (as I do of them.)

I thank God everyday that I had a great man for a Dad.
My well being and prosperity meant everything to him. He left me with a peaceful void when he passed on. Peaceful in the fact that in any decision that I make, I feel he is still watching over me. A void in the fact I do miss him so.
Happy Fathers Day.

Happy Father’s Day to all. My Dad passed away 20 years ago and I still think about him every day. He started taking me trout fishing in northern Michigan when I was able to walk. 60 years later it’s still a passion of mine (and my son’s).
The picture above is my Dad and I taking a break from a small stream in the UP from 30-35 years ago. Miss him dearly.

If you had a good one, be grateful, thank Heaven.
But remember all the kids who didn't have one-or had a bad one.
